This thread might bedead or dying but its just what i want so i'll try and drag it back to your attention.

Thing is i'll be heading off to uni this september and it would save me a lot of cash to buy a laptop and use it as a tv for my 360. so the thing i'm wondering is what level of tech do i need in the laptop? for example am i looking at needing over 3GB of RAM and will my processor need to be the fastest my budget can get? or is this less important as its just working as a tv not processing anything?

and i've heard the PCMCIA do work better than usb but i can't say if it'll eliminate the lag problems...

(and no i don't understand tech stuff either i can just pass it off cos i've spent the last 3 days looking at laptop specs)
