You don't make a very good point. Both of those games sucked.

Quote from PSU (http://www.psu.com/node/11686)

He's looking past the immediate sales, citing technological barriers. "The Wii will start to look really dated in a couple years when developers get more value from the 360 and learn more and more about the PlayStation 3," Steinberg said.

In a few years time Nintendo will be talking about their next console so it's not a great problem.

Also Steinberg is forgetting that companies like Sega will be able to get more out of the Wii in few years time as well.

More power does not always mean better gameplay, have a look atSonic and the Secret Rings for the Wiiand Sonic the Hedgehog for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

That's a few months worth of sales data. If you base the Wii's success off of that, then your reasoning fails. Sales numbers fluctuate all the time. Just look at how sales numbers looked when the N64 and PSone first came out. At first the sales for the N64 were surpassing those of the PSone. But then what happened later?--The PSone crushed the N64. History will repeat itself.

I only speak the truth brother. The sooner people come to realize that the Wii is a lost cause, the better this world will be.

[QUOTE="TyrantDragon55"]Why did you bump this thread? Your arguements are even more laughable now than they were last year.TyrantDragon55

That lost cause is outselling the PS3 by what? 3:1?

Just keep telling yourself that. I'll be playing my shiny new GTA IV.

[QUOTE="NintendoHate"]

The DS is not part of this argument. The point is that developers are keeping their major games off of the console. I don't understand why no one else can see this. Many people want to only look at Nintendo through rose-colored glasses, but let's face the facts. Why are many of the major games not coming? No one has answered this yet.

And yes FFCC was horrible. The multiplayer might have been good, if not for the fact that everyone person there has to have a GBA to play.

[QUOTE="Kaze_no_Mirai"]

There might unannounced games, besides Japan's BIGGEST game is excluive to the DS. Their most popular franchise in the US is Final Fantasy, in Japan its Draqon Quest, and ny a landslide. The fact that they have a ton of games for Wii in development means that they are commited to it, and these few games are the test ground. FF:CC didn't play horribly, of course it wasnt great but not horrible, the new one seems to be VERY different from the first one. The point is that SE showed some love and you seem to think that what they say doesnt matter,but when Sega says it it matters. :|

you want to know why the wii isnt getting the major titles its because the wii is a completly different system and it is going to take them time to get used the controller thats probably why they are making remakes

Let's face it. There are far better games coming out on the 360 and PS3 this year and the next. Just look around. I mean, Halo 3 is going to wipe the floor with Nintendo. Already developers are coming to the realization that the Wii is just a fad. Soon the sales will taper off, and we'll go back to seeing 40K-50K Wii's sold in a month (in the US) instead of the numbers you're seeing now. Think about it. Why is it that a lot of companies aren't releasing their big guns on the Wii? Because they know that the Wii won't be good for the long term, so they're releasing them on systems that will have better stability in the long term. Don't believe me? Okay let's look at this list:

Is Tekken coming to the Wii? Nope.

How about FFXIII? Nope.

Ridge Racer? Nope.

Metal Gear 4? Nope.

Soul Calibur 4? Nope, we're getting Soul Calibur Legends instead (a game developed by a cruddy developer, I might add).

Oblivion? Nope.

GTAIV? Nope.

Star Wars Force Unleashed? (Rumors maybe, but it is doubtful. Lucas Arts has continually said that they have no plans to make a game like this for the Wii.) Instead we're getting the PS2 rehash of Lego Star Wars, woohoo!

Dead or Alive? Nope.

I could go on and on.

If developers were as crazy about developing for the Wii as some people claim, then all or most of the above franchises would be coming to the Wii. If the Wii is supposed to be the dominating platform, why do developers continually release PS2 rehashes on it? The big gun releases from 3rd parties are continually being announced for the 360 and the PS3 ONLY, but not the Wii--the Wii either gets something else or a PS2 port of an older game.

again the wii is a different system and developers are not used to the controller yet

Indeed they did. I think that is the difficulty most of the people on SW are having trouble accepting.

[QUOTE="GunSmith1_basic"]sega already backtracked on this, essentially apologizingEddie-Vedder

I´m pretty sure they still meant it though.
