I bet if you ask around on Gears of War 2, people will say that there is a lack of teamwork, ever wonder why you never get to wave 50 or even close? Or keep losing your corporal rank? Nobody co-operates in many games. I always try to play with friends and I do make it further because they PAY ATTENTION AND HELP YOU! I thing along with good tactics it should work out fine.
