Change: the most difficult moments of life
by Nocturnal-Gamer on Comments
We've all had to deal with the stress of change one time or another in our lives, it comes in countless shapes and colors. For some people, change is an everyday part of life, and because of that, they adapt on a whim whenever it comes along. For others, change is like a plague, and even the smallest little detail, like a tree that fell down in you''re old neighborhood, can trigger all kinds of emotions. I'm a part of the latter, and being a person with severe bipolar disorder, change can turn a good day into a total train wreck. After a storm in our neighborhood a few days back, there was a pretty big mix-up, electricity went out in town for a few days, and lots of property was lost. And being a person of the seasons, with summer on the horizon, this was a pretty bad time all-way around for me. So, after a couple of meltdowns, I was checked in to an emergency facility, and stayed there for the remainder of the day. But, there are times of change that you know are coming, like losing someone close in you're life. My father had lost his daughter to cancer 7 years ago, and will never fully recover from it. Though he knew the day was coming when she would finally go, knowing that only made it worse, no matter how hard he tried to prepare himself. Change, like the anxious wait of you're first job interview, or the moment when you jump the gun on a girl you've been going steady with, to the simple things, like the small differences of a sequel to you're favorite game. For better or worse, and whether you know it or not, change is always shaping and affecting you're life, in every second, of every day.
