Casual as gaming can be

Before I got a work I went to the university. Sure, there were times when I had allot of stuff going on. But never like when working - as I do now. Days are filled to the rim and little to none time is left to enjoy some good games. In that, and only that, respect I envy people who get to play games on their work. Like the Game Spot staff, for instance. On the other hand. I wouldn't like gaming to be my work. I want to enjoy it as I always done. But time restriction forces me to be more and more of a hardcore casual gamer. How odd it may sound. How bad it feels.

I'm happy tough that I still have the time browsing the web. Because switching from a students life to a workers mean more money which in my book equals more games.

If only I had the time to play them...

36 hours until Wii

I am one of the many who have already pre ordered a Nintendo Wii for the launch, tomorrow at midnight between the 7' th and 8' th of December. I can't say I'm very excited for the event and stand as number 32 in line for a Wii, even though I pre-ordered it at the 13 'th of September this year. However my retailer said a few weeks ago that they had indications that they would receive about 50 consoles for launch, which means I should be safe to get my hands on the machine.

My hopes with the machine is nothing less than it getting me back into console playing, having been a true PC player ever since the time when N64 and Playstation 2 started hitting the shelves back in the 90 's.

My girlfriend isn't an avid gamer, to say the least. But I think that features as Mii, Wii sports and maybe Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz are stuff that would make (even) her interested in gaming. Not that I urge her to play. But the more the merrier, eh?

So here I am. Surfing the web as usual. I really should do school work now since I have a couple of exams to finish off. But as of now, I really look in every direction for an excuse to not have to study but just await the launch of the Wii.

Starting it off

This will be my first entry into the GS blog for the me, Nolite. I'll start off by telling a bit or two 'bout myself.
I'm a boy from Sweden, Europe, at 24 years of age and currently attending university studies in pursuit of becoming a high school teacher. I'll be done with that edaucation by the summer of 2007, if all goes as planned. I live in an apartment with my girlfriend and my two cats, Nisse and Sune (Swedish old-ish real person names in fact).

I'm a kinda active gamer. Always on pursuit of news of whats new and whats hot. Have played computer games almost exklusivley the last years, but been "trying" out Xbox and Gamecube too. Didn't really get hooked on them though since clan gaming on the internet with my computer stole most of my playing time back then. I'm now looking forward to the Wii launch here in the 8'th of December. A console I hope will make my childhood love for consoles return to me. Time will tell. And for now, time is a bit late over here (2AM) so it's time for me to tuck in. Hopefully I'll be back with something more meaningful in the near future.
