The Time has come, I have conquered the PC. My Heart has turned towards a new Goal, a new beast to tame:

The Xbox 360, has landed!

Now I know, the damn console has been out for ever! But I figured I would get in on the action while I could. Its my christmas present to myself and with it comes the lovely worlds of Mass Effect, Halo 3, Crackdown, Call of Duty 4 (didnt want it for the PC) and Assassin's Creed. That, and now I might even become a better football player when it comes to trying to beat the boss at work!

I have found that after playing most of the games I own all the way through on the hardest difficulty, that the computer just isnt a challenge to me anymore. I know this because Im buying brand new games and setting them on INSANE right from the start. That is ok though, it happens to every gamer at some point in time. What doesnt normally happen is that they dont have the internet and thus cannot go fight other players.

This is sort of a pain in the neck. I cant get better at the game, I cant vent because the CPU just rolls over and dies. Its a pain in the neck. WE NEED DSL!!! -.-'

Ok. So I get home, and I immediately go straight to the PC. Ok, thats a little bit of a lie. I put the baby in bed, then go straight to the PC. That's better. So I get there, and I disconnect it, lay it on its side and pop it open. Out comes the Video Card, and in it goes. But wait....Something isnt right, its really loose in the slot. so I lift up on the card, boom it pops right out.

Turns out the case was bowed so bad from a modification a I made to it that the graphics card couldnt seat properly agains the outside of the case, but with a little bit of love and care, and some brute force, I got it to snap into the board. I throw on the SLI jumper and reassemble the monster and stand it back up. Plug it back in and fire her up.

Sure enough Nvidia sees the SLI config right away, BOOM it enables and Im running DUAL GPUS BABY!!! WOOOO!!!!

Unfortunately I have an older MoBo that still uses the old type of SLI so I really only have 16X and 8X it makes it better, but it kinda sucks, so if anyone feels like buying me a new MoBO perferabbly one of the more modern ones, lemme know. Im ok with accepting it. Other than that, Im in love with it.

Oblivion Auto detected to ultra high, but I had to adjust it because even though it was running fine, it wasnt running as smooth as I wanted it too, and I will sacrifice some smoother edges here and there to make sure that when I spin around to confront someone I dont have to wait for the character to complete the movement I have already made, and then start the next one.

But who cares, I rock the LAN parties now, Wooters!

Oh Yeah, thats right. I got myself another 7600GS to perform the SLI setup in my system. Now I know what most of you are thinking. The GS series cards arent all that great, but for $80 you cant beat the performance one of these mid range cards puts out. With two of them, I Should be set to tackle anything

Guess we will find out tonight. Its gonna be a blast!

Ok, So the hype that follows Spore is expected. Its the game to end all games. IT has the SIM and RTS genre down, plus you get to explore space and dominate solar systems. All the way from a tiny little single cell organism to a galactic Empire.

Now, I remember seeing Spore in action almost a year ago, and the game seems pretty finished to me. Im sure there are still bugs to work out, but if that is the case, it shouldnt be almost a YEAR AWAY! They pushed the dat back to spring of 2008. Now normally I dont complain but come on? Why announce the game that far ahead in time. Its almost as if they want to build this sort of cult following before anything about the game other than preview videos hit the market. I want a Demo at least, or perhaps even REGULAR updates on the Spore website.

Grrr....EA has done it again, it would be like advertising for a movie years off in the future.
