Numb3rsfan1 Blog

I'm out..... for now!!!!

Due to some WEIRDcircumstances, I cannot access the internet at home. Laptop's done some CRAZY things yesterday (NZ Time) that has forced me to be MIA for a while. Hopefully the technician won't charge me a fortune to get it repaired.Yell

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to come on A computer at my nearest internet cafe in the meantime, so please mind if I don't reply back on both tv.com, gamespot, facebook or twitter (time is limited).

Hope everyone will have a great Spring (Autumn/Fall if you're in the Southern Hemisphere).Cry

What a Great Start!!

What a great start to the Rugby World Cup last night. Lovely Opening Ceremony which ended with a spectacular Fireworks display. And to make it even more exciting, the All Blacks won the opening match against Tonga 41 points to 10.

In a sad note, tomorrow will be the 10thAnniversary of the 9/11 attacks in America. The USA Rugby team will be playing against Ireland on this date and probably we will be observing a minute silence to mark the occasion. Hopefully they will bring up an upset tomorrow night. And my prayers and thoughts are with the families of those who lost their loved ones.

All weekend results will be on my next blog on Monday (NZ Time).

Enjoy your weekend and GO THE PACKERS!!!! (Yes, I try my best to watch some NFL on ESPN here in NZ).

Rugby World Cup is ALMOST upon us!!!!

In less than 30 hours, New Zealand will be in "Screaming Mode" for the Rugby World Cup 2011. The Opening Ceremony will take place in Eden Park, Auckland New Zealand tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm (NZ Time). Prior to the games, almost the whole country are flying their team flags on cars, homes and busineesses. We took it a step further by towns around the country adopted a second country. My town (Manurewa) has adopted Wales as our second team. Good luck to all the teams that are participating....... and let the best team win!!

P.S: Don't worry, I will be putting up the results (Sunday games will be posted on Monday - NZ Time).

First blog of the year - I'm fine!!

There was this massive earthquake in Chile on Saturday night which triggered a tsunami alert in the Pacific. New Zealand is one of them and was on high alert early Sunday morning.

Throughout the day, it didn't happened, so the warning was down graded and everything is back to normal. We just have to stay away from the beaches.

Blog more tomorrow

May they be remembered.

Maria.

Top 30 Shows This Year (10 - 1).

Hello everyone.

This is the last blog of TV shows that I love this year. Hopefully you've been prepared finally for the Top 10!!!! Hope your favourites are in here.

Please note: No spoilers for these shows please. I'm trying to follow them up and spoiling it for me does not help (well, some shows can be discussed here but just PM me first).

So, without further adieu, my Top 10!! :D

10. Criminal Minds (2005 - present)
CriminalMinds.jpg CriminalMinds/MainCastS3 image by hazuki_w
This show is the greatest show to enjoy. Love how it actually thinks inside the criminal's mind before they strike. LOVE the psychology that's been used. :P

9. Home and Away (1988 - present)
200home-and-away.jpg Home and Away image by Chlo_7
I love every minute of this show (even though it's really hard for me to catch up online now that I'm so far behind). Great Aussie show to enjoy before the 6pm news. ;)

8. Shortland Street (1992 - present)
cast-all-09-right-e4.jpg picture by Numb3rsfanNZ
This show is a NZ medical drama which really stands out. It's been 17 long years and already it has been winning NZ viewers over to Ferndale which follows the lives of staff that works in Shortland Street hospital. I really enjoyed it.... honestly.

7. Spooks (2002 - present)
mi5series3team.jpg picture by Numb3rsfanNZ
This is the most exciting show that I've ever watched in my life. Love watching things that involves protecting the country, spying and of course - Series 1 - 3 are my favourite because it has one of the most talented actresses that I've ever seen (mind you, that's my opinion). ;)

6. NCIS (2003 - present)
SexyNCISCastNEW.jpg picture by Numb3rsfanNZ
Just three more days and Season 6 of NCIS has reached NZ shores. Love this show to bits. Lots of Tiva moments are a must, McGee and Abby getting a bit closer (please let these two be a couple this season) and hopefully Tony won't give both Gibbs and McGee a hard time!! :P

OMG!!!! Half way!!!!

5. Chuck (2007 - present)
0000043360_20070924122705.jpg picture by Numb3rsfanNZ

This show is new to me and already I'm hooked. Having an employee at the Buy More store team up with a gorgeous secret agent really does it for me. Love how they add some humour to the mix.

4. CSI: Miami (2002 - present)
csi.jpg picture by Numb3rsfanNZ

CSI: Miami gets even better every season. With members resigning, dead and joining in, the cases gets even more intense, drama, a bit of humour and romance (don't forget Horatio's oneliners and the shades). Currently showing Season 7 in NZ, this is by far the most greatest season of all time.

3. NUMB3RS (2004 - present)
Numb3rs.jpg picture by Numb3rsfanNZ

You can't go pass the Eppes Brothers in their quest to solve crime using two things: Brains and Brawn. Following the departure of Agent Megan Reeves (which I'll miss her to bits), Agent Liz Warner takes her place in the team of FBI agents. If Agent Don Eppes doesn't know what to do next? He turns to a Mathematician Professor at CalSci (and his brother), Charlie Eppes who helps them plan their next move. My sister loves Don (the brawn) while I prefer Charlie (the Brains) and honestly, this show is really enjoyable.

For the runner up and first place, I've put in two shows together. Reason behind it is because either I couldn't choose between the two or I just added it in the last minute.

2. Life on Mars US(2008 - 2009)
life-mars-abc01.jpg picture by Numb3rsfanNZ

This show really stands out from the original version of the same name. Things that are the same: the main characters (except for Annie - her surname been changed to Norris so that there is no confusion between this and the original one), the year (1973), the clothes (very close), the car (wonders what car it was) and similar plots (not really the same), The difference: the location (New York City), the storyline, the cast (all Americans except the lovely Jason O'Mara - who is an American citizen), Ray's married and Annie's hair (blonde). Thank goodness for this show. If only it had a chance rather than just cancelling it altogether.

CSI:NY (2004 - present)
96405D0233b.jpg picture by Numb3rsfanNZ

This show is the reason why I love forensics even more!!!! I mean, the cast is fabulous, the location (to die for) and the couples are too cute to ignore!! Can't wait for Season 5 to make it's way to NZ (even though I've already watched 13 and a half episodes online :P).

And the top tv show(s) of this year is...... Drum roll please!!!!!!
*drums rolling*

1. Life on Mars UK (2006 - 2007)
0000mars.jpg life on mars image by savdogg2007

This is the original version which is made in the UK. This is my number one show because (although it has inappropriate language in it), I've found that Gene Hunt is one of the most funniest guys out of the characters (with Sam not far behind). DCI Sam Tyler was hit by a car and he woke up in 1973. The romance between him and Annie grew stronger and decides to stay in 1973. Although, this is not possible without it's spin-off.......

Ashes to Ashes (2008 - 2010)
07_4-1-1.jpg picture by Numb3rsfanNZ

This show is the spin-off to Life on Mars UK. It has three of the five characters from the show, but with an added twist. This time its about DI Alex Drake who was shot in 2008 and it took her back in the 80's. Gene, Ray and Chris were transferred from Manchester to London where Alex is Gene's new DI. Along with WPC Sharon 'Shaz' Granger, the team uses their special techniques: Gene, Ray and Chris with their punching and 'bending the law', Shaz with her documentation and organisation and Alex with her psychological profiling (which according to DCI Hunt its psychiatry) to catch those 'scums' responsible. At the same time, Alex tries to find a way back to 2008 in time for her daughter, Molly's birthday party. I'm sad to say that everything will be revealed in the last season (Series 3) of A2A next year. :(

There you have it. The top 30 shows this year. Please feel free to add your comments below. ;)

*huge hugs to everyone*

Top 30 Shows This Year (20 - 11).

Hi again

As promised, my continuation of the list of tv shows that are my favorite shows this year.

20. Smallville (2001 - present)
smallville.jpg smallville image by grill_bar
This show is one of the most amazing shows on tv. Even though I get told off for not going to bed, I'm SO not missing this show.... EVER!!!!

19. Ghost Whisperer (2005 - present)
ghostwhisperer.jpg ghost whisperer image by shanamw

This show really gets me into imagination mode. I wish I had the gift of helping ghosts go into the light. ;)

18. Top Gear (2002 - present)
Top_Gear.jpg top gear image by ChrisMartinez_2008
I'm not that fond of cars, but these three guys sure make me laugh (with their own kind of cheekiness). :P Even one presenter (Richard Hammond) really made a great recovery after that 'stunt gone wrong'. With him back on, I can assure that this show is great for all car lovers!!

17. House (2003 - present)

Yes everyone, the CRAZY Dr House is in the.... erm, house? This doc sure knows how to diagnose people fairly quickly while being judgemental at the same time. Wished that he was MY doctor, like to take any critisiums from him to be honest (let alone reminded me of my favourite character from a show in the top ten - but that's for tomorrow).

16. Life (2007 - 2009)

You couldn't go pass Detective Charlie Crews and his behaviour on this show. He still "Zenish" and it sometimes gets in his partner, Detective Dani Reese's nerves. The first season was really great!! It's really sad that it has been cancelled before it's time. :(

15. Torchwood (2006 - present)

Torchwood is growing in me now!!!! Kicking some aliens' butt, researching certain species and protectors of the earth (I think) are my thing. I used to be scared of made up creatures and stuff on tv, but now no one could stop me from watching this.

14. Doctor Who (2005 - present)

This is no ordinary doctor.... this particular show is one of the most coolest sci-fi shows made (in the UK)....... EVER. Which is the reason why it's spin-off show (yes, Torchwood is the spin-off from this show - Captin Jack Harkness featured in this pic) is my favourite. :P Love David Tennant by the way.

13. Bones (2005 - present)

You've got to watch this show. This is one of the most coolest (and funniest) show to watch. A bit dissappointed at the Season Four Finale, I just don't get the idea. *wonders who actually wrote the script for this episode*

12. The Singing Bee NZ (2008 - present)

This show is really *singing correctly, kareoke guessing* GREAT!!!! Love it how the whole family (whether you're participating or not) is involved to guess the words every Sunday for half an hour. This week, it's the 90's!!!! First episode: Abba Special!! Second Episode: Diva's Night. Wonder what else is install. ;):P

11. Supernatural
Supernatural.jpg wow image by Love_lacey

OMG!!!!!!!!! Needless to say..... these boys are HOT!!!!!!!! Fighting evil spirits are a must and airing before Smallville (back to back) is a dreamer (and a must watch)!!!!

There you have it, the top 20!! The top 10 is finally going to be up and running tomorrow (there's heaps of surprising shows in my top 10 so be prepared)!!!!

*hugs to every one of you* ;)

Top Thirty TV Shows this year (30 - 21).

Hi all.

I'm just doing a list of thirty (yes, 30) favourite tv shows this year from a friend of mine here at tv.com (I know who you are). In the next three days, I'm going to countdown to the most favourite shows this year. This first blog starts at no. 30 - 20, so here's the first ten shows.

30. Family Guy (1999 - present)
FamilyGuy33.jpg image by findstuff22

Needless to say that Family Guy is a bit funny (especially Stewie - he really did well when he appeared on an episode of Bones). And Peter's "GGGGGUUUUUUUIIIIIILLLLLLTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!" is still ringing in my ears wherever I go.

29. Days of Our Lives (1965 - present)
thLogo2.jpg Days of Our Live 1 image by patjack06

28. Sailor Moon (1995 - 2000)
SM5.jpg Sailor Moon 3 image by Marquita_22
This show was one of the most favourite cartoons ever to watch every morning before going to school. Thank goodness for the comic book series. :D

27. Power Rangers (1993 - present)
power_rangers.jpg power rangers image by Justincko_bucket
One of my favourites!!!! Love it until it disappeared from our NZ screens. :(

26. Friends (1994 - 2004)
Friends.jpg Friends the Tv Show image by lilyrose77

This show really does it for me (just unsure on reruns airing over and over again - here in NZ, they're STILL doing reruns that I give up watching it).

25. Lie to Me (2008 - present)
g416rsyqgs2jtvj08ur5.jpg lie to me image by ladidadi84
Its only been three episodes so far (in NZ) and it's really a great show to watch. Reminds me of one of my favourite shows (which you will find out soon enough).

24. The O.C (2003 - 2007)
The_Cast_of_The_OC_141463a-2.jpg the o.c image by gliittermelon
Missed this show to BITS!!!! Can't believe (and I wasn't prepared for the fact) that Marrisa died at the end of S3!!

23. In The Night Garden (2007 - present)
newimage067.jpg in the night garden image by agkanig

And you were wondering why did I add this show to my list..... My cousin made me watch this show with her and now I have both Upsey Daisy and Iggle Piggle's intro in my head. :P:oops:

22. The Biggest Loser (2004 - present)
biggestloser.jpg the Biggest Loser image by posters_ff
My family and I couldn't go pass this show. Honestly, it actually made me wanted to start losing weight now.

21. CSI (2000 - present)
CSI.jpg CSI image by chopperbear4242

This show is the reason why I love science more. Ever since Grissom left, my mum's not even interested anymore (or was it an excuse not to watch it anymore?).

There you have it!! First 10 shows of this year.
Tomorrow's going to be the Top 20. Be sure to see you then. ;)
