Hello everyone.
This is the last blog of TV shows that I love this year. Hopefully you've been prepared finally for the Top 10!!!! Hope your favourites are in here.
Please note: No spoilers for these shows please. I'm trying to follow them up and spoiling it for me does not help (well, some shows can be discussed here but just PM me first).
So, without further adieu, my Top 10!! :D
10. Criminal Minds (2005 - present)
This show is the greatest show to enjoy. Love how it actually thinks inside the criminal's mind before they strike. LOVE the psychology that's been used. :P
9. Home and Away (1988 - present)
I love every minute of this show (even though it's really hard for me to catch up online now that I'm so far behind). Great Aussie show to enjoy before the 6pm news. ;)
8. Shortland Street (1992 - present)
This show is a NZ medical drama which really stands out. It's been 17 long years and already it has been winning NZ viewers over to Ferndale which follows the lives of staff that works in Shortland Street hospital. I really enjoyed it.... honestly.
7. Spooks (2002 - present)
This is the most exciting show that I've ever watched in my life. Love watching things that involves protecting the country, spying and of course - Series 1 - 3 are my favourite because it has one of the most talented actresses that I've ever seen (mind you, that's my opinion). ;)
6. NCIS (2003 - present)
Just three more days and Season 6 of NCIS has reached NZ shores. Love this show to bits. Lots of Tiva moments are a must, McGee and Abby getting a bit closer (please let these two be a couple this season) and hopefully Tony won't give both Gibbs and McGee a hard time!! :P
OMG!!!! Half way!!!!
5. Chuck (2007 - present)
This show is new to me and already I'm hooked. Having an employee at the Buy More store team up with a gorgeous secret agent really does it for me. Love how they add some humour to the mix.
4. CSI: Miami (2002 - present)
CSI: Miami gets even better every season. With members resigning, dead and joining in, the cases gets even more intense, drama, a bit of humour and romance (don't forget Horatio's oneliners and the shades). Currently showing Season 7 in NZ, this is by far the most greatest season of all time.
3. NUMB3RS (2004 - present)
You can't go pass the Eppes Brothers in their quest to solve crime using two things: Brains and Brawn. Following the departure of Agent Megan Reeves (which I'll miss her to bits), Agent Liz Warner takes her place in the team of FBI agents. If Agent Don Eppes doesn't know what to do next? He turns to a Mathematician Professor at CalSci (and his brother), Charlie Eppes who helps them plan their next move. My sister loves Don (the brawn) while I prefer Charlie (the Brains) and honestly, this show is really enjoyable.
For the runner up and first place, I've put in two shows together. Reason behind it is because either I couldn't choose between the two or I just added it in the last minute.
2. Life on Mars US(2008 - 2009)
This show really stands out from the original version of the same name. Things that are the same: the main characters (except for Annie - her surname been changed to Norris so that there is no confusion between this and the original one), the year (1973), the clothes (very close), the car (wonders what car it was) and similar plots (not really the same), The difference: the location (New York City), the storyline, the cast (all Americans except the lovely Jason O'Mara - who is an American citizen), Ray's married and Annie's hair (blonde). Thank goodness for this show. If only it had a chance rather than just cancelling it altogether.
CSI:NY (2004 - present)
This show is the reason why I love forensics even more!!!! I mean, the cast is fabulous, the location (to die for) and the couples are too cute to ignore!! Can't wait for Season 5 to make it's way to NZ (even though I've already watched 13 and a half episodes online :P).
And the top tv show(s) of this year is...... Drum roll please!!!!!!
*drums rolling*
1. Life on Mars UK (2006 - 2007)
This is the original version which is made in the UK. This is my number one show because (although it has inappropriate language in it), I've found that Gene Hunt is one of the most funniest guys out of the characters (with Sam not far behind). DCI Sam Tyler was hit by a car and he woke up in 1973. The romance between him and Annie grew stronger and decides to stay in 1973. Although, this is not possible without it's spin-off.......
Ashes to Ashes (2008 - 2010)
This show is the spin-off to Life on Mars UK. It has three of the five characters from the show, but with an added twist. This time its about DI Alex Drake who was shot in 2008 and it took her back in the 80's. Gene, Ray and Chris were transferred from Manchester to London where Alex is Gene's new DI. Along with WPC Sharon 'Shaz' Granger, the team uses their special techniques: Gene, Ray and Chris with their punching and 'bending the law', Shaz with her documentation and organisation and Alex with her psychological profiling (which according to DCI Hunt its psychiatry) to catch those 'scums' responsible. At the same time, Alex tries to find a way back to 2008 in time for her daughter, Molly's birthday party. I'm sad to say that everything will be revealed in the last season (Series 3) of A2A next year. :(
There you have it. The top 30 shows this year. Please feel free to add your comments below. ;)
*huge hugs to everyone*
