Jackass: Number Two - 7/10 - Stay tuned

 Jet Li's Fearless - 8/10 - Much more than what I expected.  This is a great action film (I only spotted two or three camera scenes cut together incorrectly) and the kicks and flips could possible be preformed by a really athletic human being (maybe one or two moves couldn't be preformed, so it’s not too fake).  A lot of these modern Chinese fighting films (Hero, & Couching Tiger Hidden Dragon) have Matrix style moves in them and that kind of bothers me  (at least in the Matrix they explained the reasoning behind those extraordinary powers). Some of the scenes were absolutely breathtaking and Jet Li's performance is among the best that I’ve seen.  Add everything together and you have a top-notch film.  

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - 7.5/10 - I love it when I go to the movie not expecting much and it turns out to be so much more. Seeing the previews for this film I thought to myself another slap stick type movie. Maybe I'll catch it when it comes to DVD. I am happy to report I didn't wait for the DVD (Zzombie rent it when it comes out; I think you’ll like it). Be aware, there were some parts that people might take offense to (religion based prayer humor). For the most part, the movie had me in stitches. Make sure you watch the movie with friends that have a good sense of humor (I think that always enhances the movie experience).  

Lady in the Water - (6/10) - It seems as though a lot of people are talking trash about M. Night Shyamala's movies. I have personally enjoyed all of his films except for Signs (but that's another review). This movie has the same flow as a bedtime story but it's geared for adults. I would classify this film as more of a fantasy film than as a scary movie. There are probably two parts where you might jump out of your seat (one of those two scenes is shown in the previews). All and all, this movie takes a while to build up some steam but about halfway through the movie its moving along fast enough to hold your attention & keep you happy. I would say rental or matinee. My Super Ex Girlfriend - 7/10: I wasn't disappointed mainly because I was laughing throughout the entire movie. I like these quirky comedies. Some of the expressions on Luke Wilson’s face were priceless (especially the makin love scenes) The special effects are nothing like Superman but they get the point across. If you’re looking for a laugh from a movie that you don’t have to put a lot of thought into, this is a great choice. I also thoroughly enjoyed that actor from that tv show The Office. He’s a blast!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 6/10 - Let me start by saying I was pretty tired while watching this movie (so don’t let my score affect you seeing the film). Great special effects & costumes! I loved um! I liked the movie but I may have been expecting too much from it. Let me put it this way; I don’t think it was as good as the first film. Do you remember ‘Back to the Future part II’? It kind of has the same flow and by that I mean it’s a filler movie for the third film. If you do go see this movie there is a secret ending that you may want to stick around for, if you don’t mind the 10+ minutes of credits.

Superman Returns:  6/10   Relax Brandon Routh is an excellent Superman. In my mind Christopher Reeve will always be the best Superman character but I thoroughly enjoyed Brandon’s performance.  The actress that plays Lois wasn’t as good and I think they could have done a better job selecting her character.  Kevin Spacey playing Lex was an awesome idea but I may have been expecting too much (he’s great in the movie but I was expecting fantastic).
I think the people in charge had a difficult decision with Superman Returns.  Do you start over with the series or do you continue from where the last movie left off.  The producers finally decided How about we just continue after Superman II (great idea considering the foundation that had been laid).
When you think about it Superman I & II were engineered perfectly (the way one flowed into two) Superman I was made to have a sequel. I feel as though Superman Returns didn’t leave a lot of room for a sequel (at least not some thing that I would be tremendously excited about).

I don't care what the critics say.  I enjoyed this movie.  I thought it had a good flow from start to finish.

Nacho Libre - 3/10 This movie wasn't very good. I've been telling my friends not to see it. I haven't talked with anyone else that has seen it. I was expecting a lot more. The Lake House - 7/10 I wanted to see this movie mainly because I couldn't understand why the directors were making it hard for them to meet up. I liked it. My movie scale works something like this. 10. Your perfect Movie, nothing is wrong with it. (you may not have a ten spot movie it may be just an idea for a movie that you have in your head) 9. My top ten movies would go here. 8. A great movie! (My favorite types of movies are Sci-fi this is where my favorite comedies or favorite scary movies would be placed) 7. A good movie. 6. Above average movie. 5. Average movie 4. Below average 3. Crap 2. This is the type of movie where you're talking trash through the whole thing. 1. You leave the movie theater or turn the DVD off and smash it.

I need some advice with a problem that I am having with a neighbor of mine. This guy Mike just bought the property next to me and he's been fixing up the place. We met for the first time the other day when his mother needed some help caring in some groceries. One of the first things this guy tells me is I have to chop down a tree that's in my yard. He says it's a very dirty/messy tree (I guess he doesn’t want to rake up the vegetation that the tree produces). Now, let me give you a visual of this tree; it's a willow tree, it's about seven feet away from the property line and it's also in the front side yard. There are two large branches that cross over that invisible property line (I would say about 15 to 20 feet in the air). I tell the guy that I like the tree because it provides a lot of shade over my house but that I would talk to my wife when she returns from a business trip. He goes on and on about the tree being dirty and we should just chop it up. He also wanted to know if I owned the house (Maybe he was considering going over my head). Who knows? The next day I go to work but when I come back from work the tree has been mutilated and he’s no where to be found! He's cut down branches that didn't even cross into his property he’s ripped off sections of bark and to top it off he left some of the mess in my yard.
This occurred last week and I am still pissed off. I didn't talk to him right away for three reasons. 1.) He’s wasn’t home (he may have skipped out early to avoid me. 2.) I wanted my wife to see it and 3.) I’m thinking about getting even but I don't want him to know that I am pissed. I consider myself a reasonable person but this guy went too far. Why couldn't that A-hole just wait like I asked him to? I would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks for reading!

Last night I came home to an awesome surprise!  My wife Kelly had set up a little scavenger hunt with the end treasure being an XBOX 360! It was very thoughtful of her.
If anyone has any suggestions for great games I would love to hear about them.  As of right now I have Perfect Dark Zero!  I plan on reserving Star Trek Legacy right away!

Last night I dreamt that my dog went to the vets office and had his skin removed. Don't worry he didn't come out a bloody mess, but instead they fused his mothers skin and fur onto his body (she's been dead for a few months). He didn't look the same or act 100% the same but I could tell that he was the same dog. I felt as though he didn't want to be around me.

Anyone have any guesses as to what this dream means?
He's a little background on my dog. His name is Bear he's ten years old and he's a larger Dobie Mix.
