True, but it wasn't like it was dirt cheap, I got it in Costco for about 600, 2 years ago, which was right inline with the Vizio they did not have in-stock.

Sam's Club has an unlimited return policy...100% satisfaction guaranteed, no matter what (people brought back 10 year old mattresses, compressors that had been outside for years, etc) Costco may have something similar to Sam's...worth checking out IMO

Thanks for that info, I'll have to ask my dad about that when he gets back since he's the one with the membership.

Just called them, they have a similar policy but it excludes electronics.

Hey guys,

Last night while I was watching TV, my Protron plasma(pl3250 model) just randomly shut itself off. I thought maybe I had lost power or the surge protector was off but my xbox, Fios stb and other equipment had power still. I have tried different outlets, thrown the on/off switch in the back...nothing. I should also point out that the amber light when it's off, with power, is also not on. Anyone have any ideas what could have caused this, if its fixable or is my TV completely dead. I would go to a repair service but the closest guy is about 90 minutes from where I'm located.

[QUOTE="budboarder"]2k's MLB line isnt bad. I loved 2k7, and 2k8 would have been great if not for the uber hard pitching.KapG

yea but if you want to buy the best baseball game on the market you purchase MLB the show 09.

No doubter

I hate to say it but 2k6, 2k8 and 2k9 were jokes, especially the latest one. The Show absolutely rapes the 2k series in every way possible.

Recently my Xbox 360 broke for the fourth time (second time in like two months). I've already upgraded to the "more reliable" Elite with no luck and I'm starting to get really P.O'd at the 360's unreliability. So with the launch of the PS3 Slim I'm seriously considering switching over to the PS3. However, when it's working, I think the 360 is a much better console with exclusives (like Halo Gears and Forza) that I love. In addition, I have a ton of games and four controllers already for my 360. I've also heard that shooters aren't as good on PS3 as they are 360 (which I aggree with from what I've played) and I'm a huge shooter buff eagerly anticipationg the release of Halo 3:ODST and MW2 (I also greatly prefer the 360's conroller because of the triggers and how comfortable it is). On the flip side, however, is the PS3 Slim. A system that actually works would be a much appreciated, Blu Ray would be kinda' nice, and it's not like the PS3 doesn't have its own set of exclusives. So what do you think I should do: Should I get my Xbox fixed at least one more time and see what happens, or should I ditch it now and buy a PS3 even though I prefer the Xbox in just about aspect?

Get the Slim and keep your Xbox. This is what I did and have no regrets. I play MLB The Show and Metal Gear on my PS, and some others like Saints Row and Batman AA and use the Box for Madden and COD, Im liking the set up so far.

There's a few differences.

1. There's no BC.

2. You can not put Linux on it.

3. It is much quieter and in my opinion noticeably faster; also the power cord is not giant in size.

4. No SD memory card slots as with some of the "fat" models.

That's my .02

It depends on how you sell it. If by selling, you mean trading in at gamestop or eb then it is not worth it. With the Price drop to $299 you looking at about a $85 dollars in trade value, which gets you only 1 game and a third of a 2nd. If you can flip it on ebay for 120-150 it may be more worth while.
