The GBA version had a few extra bits. There's a little bit on Wikipedia about it. TBH, I wouldn't have thought you'd notice that much - though the script might be better translated in the GBA one.

If I had to pick I'd go for 3.

Different bosses, obviously. Don't you also have MegaMan's dog (I can't remember his name) as a sidekick in 3, and also that slide move?

They're pretty similar games as far as I recall, though, and both pretty good. I still use the MegaMan 3 intro theme as the alarm song on my mobile... :)

Yoshi's Story. Even at a very young age. It was nigh impossible to die in that game, unless one of those fish ate you, or you mistimed a kick jump and fell to your death. Cpt_Meh

Agreed. Didn't you have to complete just six levels to complete the game? Super Mario Land 2 on the GB was also incredibly easy.

XIII and Versus are set in the same world (the latter's called Versus XIII, of course, so there's a bit of a clue there :) ), so they'll no doubt have a fair bit of cross-over between them. They reckon that Versus has actually been put on hold for the moment whilst Squenix concentrate on the main XIII game in an effort to get that out as soon as possible. I've not heard any dates, but I can't see it coming out in Europe until at least the back end of next year.

As for the DS remakes, FFIV is out soon-ish, but I've not heard about V and definitely not VI. My guess, and it's only really that, is that they'll do a remake of V but not VI. It's not really too long since that was ported across to the GBA.

To name but a few: Tetris; Final Fantasy VII; Baldur's Gate II; Frontier - Elite II (I never quite made it to 'Elite' status, though).

Bit of a ***spoiler***...

Mehrunes Dagon in Oblivion. He just kind of stood there and, um, didn't really do much (other than looking like Goro from Mortal Kombat). There were lots of his minions crawling about, but it just didn't seem very special to me. Nice dragon at the end, though.

I'd like to see a remake of FFVII on the PS3; I know you can play the PSone version on there but, much more so than VIII or IX, it now looks very dated (well, certainly the characters and battle scenes do, less so the pre-rendered back-drops and CGI, I guess).

FFVI would be a good choice to remake on the DS. It'd be nice if they could remake it in a similar way to FFIII and FFIV, and not just port it across like they seem to be doing with Chrono Trigger. :(

Really, though, I'd like to see more new FF games that are part of the 'core' series rather than remakes or barely-related side-stories like the Crystal Chronicles series.

If we're including home computers then it was a C64 for me, complete with the Hollywood/TV Quiz pack which included such wonders as Platoon, Bullseye, Blockbusters and The Great Escape.

If we're only talking consoles, then it'd be the NES, which I managed to buy around two months before the SNES came out. Whoops.

The first time I completed Super Mario Bros. 3 on the NES... A truly fantastic game.
