Hey all, so here's the situation, I have my computer monitor and my television hooked up to my computer and the max resultion for each differs (the computer monitor being 1680X 1050 and my television being 1920x1200). Now, I've just bought a controller to play games through my PC and television, but with the option to duplicate screen settings, the max I can achieve is 1680x1050 unless I make the television screen my sole monitor. Is there a way to play games on my television with the resolution set to 1920x1200 while still allowing access to my regular monitor? I've tried to extend the display, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to play the game solely on my television while my monitor runs its own portion of the screen.

Thanks in Advance!

Hey all, so I was just wondering- does the xbox controller have to be a regular run of the mill wired xbox 360 controller or can I buy ones such as the Gamestop xbox wired controller (which is cheaper) and have it work just as well?

Thanks in advance!

Hey all, so, please be gentle as I'm a little lacking in the knowledge about computer hardware, though I know some basic things. A few months ago my old computer (which was roughly eight years old) died on me and since then I have bought a new computer and I love it. However, I was able to harvest some old components from my old computer, specifically a 1 gb stick and 2 256 mb sticks of ram. Now, I figure the 256 mb's are pretty worthless, seeing as how my new rig has 4gb's of ram already in it. My question however, is can I put in that 1gb stick of ram into my new machine and would there be any improvement/reasoning to do it? Has Ram changed at all in such a way that wouldn't allow me to do it?

Thanks in advanced for your answers!

Hey, so my computer just died on me which was a very sad occasion but considering I've had it for eight years it has served me well. I used to be heavily into PC games but then moved over to the consoles once my PC became pretty much obsolete. Well I'd like to once again get into PC gaming and would like your advice on what computer I should get. It has to be affordable so building one from scratch is out of the option. I'm not entirely sure nowadays what classifes as "good" in order to play the modern day PC games so if you can please tell me how these rigs would run a game such as Dragon Age or the most recent Call of Duty that would be fantastic.

The first option is this: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/hewlett-packard-hp-pavilion-elite-computer-featuring-amd-phenom-ii-955-processor-hpe-501f-hpe-501f/10161954.aspx?path=d3d92e61b108dbeb6255cdb6b619525den02

And the second option is this one: http://www.futureshop.ca/EN-CA/product/id/10160870.aspx

Thank you very much, any information is super appreciated.

So I bought a used copy of Bad Company 2 and absolutely love it. Online multiplayer is just as how I remembered it. But every time I log on to play it asks for a VIP Code. Something that the game didn't come with because it was used. I looked into what the code was for and saw that you oculd download more map packs and such with it.

So my question is, is there anyway to obtain or purchase one of these codes? If so from where and for how much?

Thanks in advance!

Personally, my girlfriend and I play alot of borderlands. It's pretty easy to get into and not terribly difficult. Plus, if your girlfriend is anything like mine, she'll like the option of playing as a female protagonist.

So my family carries Cogeco lite, which places a restriction on how much we can download (10gigs every month). I've recently found a website that allows me to streamline television shows but am wondering, does streaming these shows count as downloading?
