Hah, a BIT late, but I got a gamecube about two months ago. So far, the only games I have for it are Pikmin and Pikmin 2. (Great games! I need to review them later.)
...My brother owns FZero GX and Metroid Prime, but I show no interest in them. (Not a big fan of the metroid series... and I just don't like racing games.)
I'd like more games, ya know? I'm a bit low on funds, so don't mention anything TOO expensively rare (Pikmin 2 was hard as hell to find... but it was worth it.)
So.. criteria.
I like quirky games, games with not nessecarily "good" graphics, but graphics with style... well, more so, a unique art style that blends well with the enviornment of the game while creating something new and innovative. (Hey, Mother series, howya doin'? Still struggling to get recognition here? WHAT? They cut your demo out of brawl...? Oh, it's hopeless. -sigh-.), a good plot/storyline (Well, even if not that, good atmosphere and characters.) Bonus points if it's funny, or bonus points if it's got a good grip on whatever it's about and manages to tell it in an interesting way.
Gameplay wise, I'm good on anything except First Person Shooters and Racing Games. I LOVE Strategey games and Platformers, as well as RPGs (if they have a good battle system: Sorry, but turn based combat is about as fun as opening MS DOS and punching in commands all day, I do make a lot of exceptions though if they're still presented in a fun manner like the Mother series.), but anything is pretty much fine excluding what I mentioned earlier.
I'm not big on dark atmospheric games, but if one has the qualities of what I just mentioned, throw it at me.
Also, I've been hearing good things about Psychonauts. The reviews are pretty solid, but would any of you guys reccomend it? It looks fantastic, so I've been wanting to check it out. (And, how good does your computer have to be to run it?)
