i5 2500 + AMD 6970

i7 2600 + Nvidia 560 Ti

Which do you consider the better choice for both high end gaming and 3D moddeling? I know the i7's hyperthreading gives some edge in Maya and Photoshop, but I don't think it weighs up for the weaker GPU.

FYI, I bought the first option (as seen in my sig) and a friend bought the second option. We are both studying Game design and creation in college.

i5 2500 + AMD 6970 hands down, i5 2500 is overcloackable, and will perform the same as i7 in terms of gaming. In video rendering, there will be a difference, but solely in terms of gaming, i5 2500 and superior AMD GPU will be better.

I have finially decided to quit wow, deleting my characters this time. I have 5 85's rolled more toons thinking that would some how make the game fun again. Nope, I can no longer have fun playing a game with a random grp of retards, only to get a good grp 1 out of 4 times. I keep taking breaks and going back thinking it will be fun but I always end up getting mad, game is just no fun anymore. How many times must I explain the fights? I dont even bother anymore, I hope a new MMO comes out and breaks the wow mold because if it is the same I just cant enjoy it anymore. Playing the same instance the 200 time for a minor gear upgrade used to not matter to me, now it is about as fun as beating my head against the wall. Want to play wow? Smash your head into a wall, same end result

I quit after I realized that I just turned down going out with my friends for having to play WoW. That moment I realized that I have a problem. Needless to say, I never come close to playing MMORPG. I now have time to go to gym regularly, hang out with friends, university grades are at A+ (luckily I quit during my Grade 12, so univ. wasn't affected). Basically, quitting wow was the best thing I could have done for my future. I do not blame wow, I blame my competitive spirit. :P

Haha, I like your signature, I didn't know that Girl's Generation endorsed Intel, thumbs up for Intel. :))

Btw, I like the AMD build better, I am currently using i3, and I'm switching up to AMD for my next build, going to go for better bang for buck, I'm tired of Intel switching sockets all the time, its unbelievable.

1) Does it have a steep learning curve?

2) Is it P2P? (Because it's blizzard)

3) If so does it have a free trial?

4) Is it graphics intense?

5) Should I play the first one before the 2nd?

Thanks in advance. I'm pretty new to the PC gaming scene hence my username. :P

It is easy to play, hard, if not impossible, to master. With the game such as SC2, it takes more than just "mastering" the game mechanics, its more about your ability to foresee and interprit what the opponent is doing and properly respond to it. It has an endless trial, which you can play for as long as you would like. It is graphics intense, but it doesn't have to. You can play on Medium but have an option to play on Extreme. You do not have to play SC1, but it is a great game, highly recommend.

By the way, Adblock seems to work just fine in IE9, and, you can drag and drop websites into your Taskbar, where you can can access your favorite websites in just a click. I used to be not in favor of IE, but Microsoft really picked up their game.
