I have no reason to trust any powerful agency to use technology responsibly. I have always been an XBoX guy, because I love Halo. The mandatory Kinect has given me a reason to switch over to PlayStation and/or Steam.
This console has completely failed in development and marketing. I'm not buying an Xbox if you have included mandatory orwellian capabilities. Even if you promise not to use it and protect us from potential evil-doers, I have no reason to believe you. You may be honest, but how can I be sure you are capable of protecting us from hackers? Time to start researching PS4 and PC gaming.
Yeah, this is a bad review. He's wrong about so much. The story is good and actually makes sense of why the characters are fighting when normally they wouldn't be. This game's tutorial was easy to understand and succeed in completing the moves/combos. It has a tonne of 1Player replay value with the S.T.A.R.S. Missions, which make you want to get 3 stars on all of them, plus the dozen or so battle modes you can complete. The breakables replenish in some areas and you shouldn't rely on them anyway, so his complaints are an INJUSTICE to the actual gameplay. Characters feel powerful, designs are cool, the supers are spectacles, and the I give this game an 8.5.
Hopefully, all this controversy is for nothing and XBoX makes no such requirement, but in the event it's true, i'm switching consoles. Sometimes the internet goes down. It's a fact of life. If I can't play my expensive game console when the connection goes down, i'm not buying it.
@jaymo1978 I agree with most of what you said, but the problem with lowering game prices is the cost of development. From what I understand, margins in the gaming industry are small. You have to pay entire teams to develop a game and you also have to factor in the cost of the facilities and services used to make the game. (Software, electricity, taxes, water, production, distribution... etc) If you lower the cost too much and a game fails miserably after investing all that money, they would have to claim bankruptcy and close the studio. The current margins allow developers some room to fail.
@williebazerka Games that come in a bundle, package deal, or meant for promotional purposes say they are not for resale, but GameSpot takes them and sells them anyway.
Second hand games should not be blocked and GameStop should be expected to give a piece of used sales to the publishers. This really seems like a black and white issue. Consumers were always told `This item is not for resale,` so why isn`t it the same for retailers?
