Like Jeff said, it mutates the gameplay, with each skull you find within a level, like making enemies harder to kill, taking away your HUD, or even killing Grunts with headshots will result in a explosion of confetti and children yelling, if you've played Viva Pinata you know whatyelling I'm talking about.
