It's not the scores. It's the actual reviews not jiving with the numeric score.

You got my point my good man

At last the reviews of GOW III have been released.

I have read/watched the scores from IGN, Gamespot, Eurogamer, Gametrailers and from three Norwegian newspapers.

As a super fan of the previous games I must say I am a little disappointed that it didn`t get higher scores, but the game does very well indeed.

What I think all the reviews have in common is that the actual review praises the game big time. Its all superlatives all the way. For instance when I read the review from Eurogamer I thought it should get a 10/10, but it ended up with "only" a 9. Its almost the same with all the other reviews. Amazing praise, but the actual score ends up only second best/highest(its a niner out of 10 or a fiver out of 6etc)

The one thing that the reviewers think is a minus is that its not doing anything new compared to GOW I and II.

I have not played the game yet and surely must do so before I can make a judgement, but if it is the same as the predecessors, it is all good. THe new stuff should be limited to grander scale and more impressive graphics(and that, I think, are coming my way)

Enjoy the game when it finally releases.

Any thoughts? Is it crazyness to be a little disappointed over the reviews when they are this high?

[QUOTE="atc-fanatic"]

i found a site that says gtav4 native resolution is 1024x576 on ps3 and 360.

OK, I can understand that, but that can not be the case regarding Uncharted 2(I guess)

It is I think besides you'll find most games don't run well in full 1080p.

I know, but they run fine in 720 resolution which do not get at the moment(according to my tv)

Do you have a HDMI cable? Maybe you need to adjust your "Video Settings."slimdave21

Ihave it all and I have checked Video Settings but I am not sure what to look for. My guess is that its related to a kind of "general" video setting since 576 shows when I am in XMB. But again, I am not certain what to look for.

I have tried Uncharted 2 and GTA IV. But I have noticed that when I turn on the PS3 the 576 shows up on the XMB screen. It stays on 576 when I insert a game also.

Hi.

I have a question regarding my PS3 set up.

I have a Sony full HD tv.

When I play a Blu-ray movie my tv displays 1080/24 in the left corner. The quality of the picture is outstanding. The latest movie we saw was Up by Pixar and Disney. Truly amazing.

But when I insert a game my tv displays in left corner only 576. The games I have tried should all have 720 when played, but does not for some reason.

Can anyone help me? Is it the settings on my PS3 or tv that must be changed or is it something else.

Hi.

First; Could somebody please tell me how to get water in LBP?

Second: I have tried the level editor or to create things/levels, but find this quite difficult. I reckon that trial and error is the way to break the creative code, but is there anyone who has good advice, or a trick or two to tell about how to get good at making games with the LBP tool. Where can I learn more so to speak.

Thanks
