At last! After developing a mild case of tendonitis, I have finally passed Expert on GHII!!! Hangar 18 was pretty nasty, but not as bad as I would've thought. Used Star power in solo 4 (even if I didn't need it), then again in solos 7 and 9, and it was done. It was Beast and the Harlot that really crushed me. I still struggle with the main riff. Just can't get the timing down. At least I'm getting respectable on Misirlou- just shy of 4 stars currently. Now I don't know if I'll work at passing all the bonus songs (which means Jordan and Six), or if I should work on the 5 star quest. Probably ending up bouncing between the two until I accomplish one of them. Otherwise, not much else to report. Hopefully the Bulls will recover and get things going against the Pistons. Game 1 was just brutal.

Picked up God of War 2 last week, and I have had a blast playing it. I have worked through it on God & Titan Mode a couple of times. Titan Mode definitely is tough early, as orbs are tough to come by. I've found that some quick orb farming at the Typhon's Bane & Eurayles Head infi-spawns pays off in spades. As a former Hammer-hater, I am noting that the Hammer is darn near broken at level 3- it deals absurd damage with the awesome triangle. triangle attack- and its fully cancellable to boot. I've now unlocked all the goodies, and am looking at maybe a 2nd play speed run, just to see how fast I can run through. Well, thats all for now.

Level 20, I hardly knew ya.. it only took 6 months to pass you!! Other than reading other forum posts and posting here and there, I really haven't done much contributing. Now that I'm past the ominous level 20, I may see what I can do to boost my ranking. Well, been awhile since last blog post, so what I have I missed commenting on? Well, for starters- THE COLTS WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!! I really never thought I'd see the day that happened. It was one of thae most exciting times I'd ever had. The whole 2 week SB buildup was pretty crazy, as I am from Indy, but now I live in the Chicago 'burbs, and my office is on the far Northside of Chicago. Strutting around in my Colts gear, it was as if I had contracted the plague. My co workers (all Bears fans), spent two weeks taunting me with recycled Green Bay Packer jokes, with 'Colt fan' lamely substituted. Well, it was I who had the last laugh. Thank you, Evil Rex! OK- Enough SB chat, that's old news.... I bought Resident Evil 4 today. Gonna have to get used to the whole 'can't move while aiming' thing; I died on the first level. Pathetic. I also reserved my copy of God of War II. The Gamestop gave me the demo to tide me over. I played thru it- it feels like it could be a tougher game than the first. I really enjoyed GOW, but even on God mode it was too easy. For a challenge, I went through the game on God mode without opening a single chest. Well, I opened the first chest, because the stupid pop up telling you how to open them appears until you actually open one! I actually managed to get to the Clone battle doing this- the Clones are just too hard, though, as I had the base health and magic bars to combat them with. I also have been playing my Guitar Hero 1 & 2 games as well. GH 2 is tough on expert- as of now I'm stuck on Freya. Getting better, though... Well, that's all for today. I just got back from running an errand, and I drove by Steak & Shake. The marquis sign in front said "bits and pieces are here". Alright, I have always been skeptical of Steak & Shake's quality as it is, and as such I haven't eaten there in 7 or so years. But this just frightens me. Bits & Pieces of what? Is there a squirrel overpopulation they're trying to correct? I'm serious, S & S should be charged with false advertising for calling what they serve food. BTW, Tiger Woods pwns. Golf is only remotely acceptable when he is winning. More later

Well, as I have snailed my way to a decent level 15, I figured I'd finally get around to actually doing more than tracking my games and posting a little bit here and there. So I created a banner- its pretty fancy. Took about 30 seconds in Paint. I also created & changed my avatar. I had always used Tekken's Paul, but I decided to use the "Toys that Kill" pic i saw in an article on MSN sometime back. I just resized it in Paint to fit. I even uploaded a video. Its pretty basic, as i don't have a video editing program. I just copied it raw from the replay. I just recently got a capture card (Win TV), and run my PS2 thru it. OK, enough for now, my fingers are already hurting. More later.
