I'm very skeptical on how this game will work out. I can't see how they'll keep the same AC feel that had with the previous games with such an emphasis on ranged combat utilizing muskets and rifles so much. And I'm curious to see if they use the same open world they had in previous AC games, because if they do most of your time will be spent running through plains and forests. But I haven't seen much footage yet and am curious to see how the game progresses.
I actually have an empty feeling inside the pit of my stomach. The second I saw the title "Dead Space 3" I was filled with excitement. I LLLLLOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE Dead Space 1 and 2, and I was almost sure I was going to buy Dead Space 3 if they ever made one. This footage is absolutely nothing like the other two games. It has completely gone from the suspensful sci-fi game it was before to a shooter set in space.
The game wasn't straight out horror, but kept you jumpy the entire time because you were alone (excluding the masses of necromorphs looking to rip you apart limb from limb) which made the few encounters with other people that much more special. Now, your not only with another person, there are AI present at times too. And where the hell did the Plasma Cutter and the Line Gun go. This is just like a 3rd person shooter, filling enemies with enough shots until they drop. I'm very disappointed. :(
I'm surprised at myself that I might not pick this one up. Guess I'll just have to go back to the classics and replay Dead Space 1 and 2 again. (God I hope that between now and the release date they revert back to the original formula that worked wonders on the first two games. But I know that that's probably not going to happen...)
