Wow and Warhammer are both great games but I think they are different from eachother. Wow is a PVE game really and Warhammer is a PVP (or RVR as they call it) game. The freedom with leveling in WAR is awesome. The only reason I wouldnt go back to wow now after being off it for so long is that I hated the leveling system. It was slow and boring there wasnt much choice in how you leveled. In WAR you have multiple choices to level. Say if you are fed up with questing you can sign up to join a scenario (battlegrounds) and pvp to level up also maybe pick up a nice set item on the way aswell as level up your Renown Rank (40 Levels and 80 Renown rank Levels gained through pvp).

If you get bored with that after you leave the scenario it puts you right back where you joined from and you can hop to the nearest PQ and just invite yourself to a small group who are doing a timed quest. If you do well you might get some loot when you complete it at the end.

If you get bored with questing you can just go to an rvr zone join a warband and hunt down the opposing faction, take out Battle Objectives or maybe have a pop at taking an enemy controlled Keep. There is lots to do and I find the leveling doesnt slow down or feel boring as I am not forced to level in one fashion.

As far as population is concerned Im on Karak Eight Peaks (EU server) and there has always been people in all 4 Tiers busy doing things and more than enough for keep taking, scenarios, pqs etc. Its true their fan base is a lot smaller than that of WOW but dont forget the game is young still and has greatly improved on release day. New end level dungeon being added in the next few weeks. a Live event seems to happen every month and constant pvp especially in Tier 4.

You would need to try Warhammer yourself to see if you like it but I do advise to research and find which is the most highly populated server for your location. Warhammer and WOW are different games with totally different feels to them. It depends on your own personal likes and dislikes not really the opinions of others. WOW wont be around forever and WAR is just starting out.

Have you noticed how most of the time pirates are the majority of the people complaining about DRM and copy protection and stuff, when they are the exact reason why developers put those there in the first place? I mean this sounds harsh, but how stupid can you people be? Apparently unbelievably stupid. That's right, you literally have to be a complete idiot to be a pirate. You like playing games, but don't even realize that you are ruining PC gaming as we know it. And if you try to defend piracy, don't bother, because that will just give away the fact that you are a pirate yourself, because the only people that actually support piracy are the pirates themselves.

DRM is not a valid excuse people, because whenever a game doesn't have DRM or any copy protection on it it almost gets more pirated than one with it. World of Goo, Prince of Persia, Sins of a Solar Empire, all games that were pirated like crazy, yet didn't have any copy protection at all, so stop using that as an excuse. Also stop using the excuse it's a bad game so I'm not going to pay for it. That excuse makes no sense. How would you know it's bad until you play it, aka, you made the decision to pirate it before you know how good or not it was, and if you played the demo, then you should have known it was bad in the first place and just not bought it. Not to mention, if a game is bad, why play it in the first place? Oh I know, it's just another poor excuse.

Just admit it pirates, the absolute only true reason you pirate games is because you don't want to pay for them. You're selfish, and think stealing is ok as long as the technicaldefinition of piracy isn't theft. Guess what, it's basically stealing, stop trying to find irrelevant loopholes to justify your own careless greed. There is not one valid excuse pirates can give, because when you really get down to it, the only reason you are pirating is because you don't want to pay for it, end of story.

Yeah I understand why somebody wouldnt want to pay for a **** game that they cant get a refund on. All im saying is let everyone have a demo of games coming out then if people enjoy it some will pirate while most will pay for it. Why would a pirate download a game they thought was **** after they tried the demo? And in fact I know of a lot of people who download then if they like the game they will buy it in order to support the makers. Remember most people want to play the multiplayer modes which come with pretty much every game these days and you still need to have a legal copy if you want to utilise those features

More demos = less piracy

And DRM never affects the pirated copy of a game so ask yourself why its used. Is it to make the legitimate owner pay more or to stop a pirate playing a game? Ive heard of some companies charging you extra to extend the amount of time you have to reinstall the game. WTF is that all about. Games arent as good as they were and more expensive so more people pirate them.Same thing is happening with films and music.

DRM isnt the result of mass piracy. It doesnt affect piracy it only fortifies a justification of why people pirate. GTA is a game with a host of features only really available if you own a copy. I would never dream of downloading it for free as Im missing out on the majority of what is being offered. Why cant people make more games like this? Instead of linear pretty and short ones that leave you feeling out of pocket.

If you wana learn more about piracy through out the ages and why DRM type systems are used i suggest you watch this documentary

Companies should start making better games instead of the half assed stuff that comes out these days and more demos then people will pirate less. Who wants to pay £20-40 for a game that might be **** and theres nothing you can do when you've opened the packet. Piracy is a response to people trying to make more money from sub standard products. Same applies to the cinema. Its £7-10 a ticket in my town so I only go to the cinema to see a film I really want to see. If i saw every film that came out and paid the money to see them 9 times out of 10 I would want a refund.

Allow people to test a game for free before it is released i.e. demos (but then if they know they are releasing a substandard product they dont want people to have a chance to realise that before they part with cash)

Don't charge people extra for DLC

Listen to communities when they are asked their opinions

And above all start making good games again.

I will be buying Dawn of War 2, as I bought Left for Dead, GTA 4 but as far as the rest of the games released are concerned they are not worth the price tag. Thats why people pirate.

People dont feel guilty about it anymore as its so acceptable these days. I dont know anyone who hasnt downloaded an album or a film. And for those who think it damages pc gaming all this means is companies will come and go and better ones will take their place making better games. Piracy is healthy so long as the Game makers react in ways that dont penalise the paying customer a la DRM.
