PS3>360 gee posting in system wars is easy.
We have a Wii at home, it is much loved by women and small children (under the age of 7).
Now if all the sheep on this site could tell us which category they fit in it would be much appreciated :).
I don't think thats ownage. Look at the numbers in front as well as at the end, with less consoles sold overall, of course it will look like a higher attach rate, but thats irrelavant anyway.
The point is PS3 fanboys made out that the PS3 version was much better, more copies would sell on the PS3 and more people would buy the PS3 for the game. They certainly had me believing that, they went on about it so much.
Although I also think we still have to wait for Europe and other countries before anyone claims ownage over anyone.
Im making no claims of my own, just saying TC was talking about the fanboys claims and I don't understand the relevance of the attach rate here.
You speak the truth, nobody knows which console will have the highest sales for any given game until all the sales are done for that generation. Although i cant see the fanboys waiting until next gen to debate the sales of GTA4.
It's sad is it not. First they say it will sell more, then Damage Limitation Mode "On a Pro Rata basis we would expect that 360 to have in fact sold even more than it did".....whatever.... talk about moving the goalpost after...just lol. FACT 360 version sold more FACT 360 has more games FACT 360 has more online users FACT 360 has sold more consoles. PS3 fanbois should get a job in marketing and spin, hey maybe they should apply to Sony they sure like to make stuff up a lie.hywel69
So using your own (fanboi) logic the PS2 is currently the best console on the market having:
sold more consoles
has more games
has more users... whatever other bullcrap you want to spin.
If releasing early is not to be taken into account and the PS2 is still out there in the market place (and HD is not a pre-requisite for being a next-gen console[Wii]) then the only winner of system wars at the momnet (and up until the PS2 is discontinued) is the PS2. Q.E.D.
Damage Limitation Mode not required....
[QUOTE="eggfork"]i live in niue in the south pacific i dont think my warreny is valid from there
secondly i am not saying all the hardware in the ps3 is better than the 360 but i think some of the basic conponets are more durable comparerd to the 360 which is why i have low hardware melfunctio rate.

You should phone or contact M$ before you assume that.
You should also consider that, since you live in a warm climate the 360 has overheating problems (leading to RROD). I live in Australia and own a PS3 (kept in an upstairs room which gets hot in summer) and have had no problems with heat soak (though in warm wearther the fan does run fast [loud], the system has never even felt warm to the touch (even when the inside room temperature has exceeded 35 degrees celsius).
I decline to comment about the relative power/potential of each console as i do not have enough experiance with such matters but i assume that for a comparable price each system offers a similar performance. I went with the PS3 because I bought it at the same time as my (brilliant) 1080p Bravia TV and the Playstation 3 offered HD movies and games in the same box. If you are considering a future purchase of a HDTV or already own one then the PS3 represents even better value. (Digital Downloads will be possilble on both PS3 and XBOX360).
I would still recommend you contact both MS and Sony to see if you are elegible for any warranty as an expensive next gen console purchase should be made with some sense of security.
Good luck and happy gaming.
[QUOTE="Couth_"]When the batteries die out after several years of use, you can open the controller and replace them yourself, or send the controller to Sony and they will replace them for free.
It sounds like a good deal to me

Seriously....Sony will replace them. You mean their not in the business of ripping us off and making us pay for new '$50' controllers when they die out? Awesome. How do you do this and where can I read the small print regarding this 'battery replacement' program?
And how much is a XBox Live gold subscription? Seems $50 is a popular number eh? I can play online (and you know everyone here does :)) for free on PSN and cover the cost of one controller in 12 months when they will easily last much longer than that.
Ownage only hurts when you care too much about winning pointless arguments.
Ok I'm not 100% sure but I think Pro-Logic is made up of three front channels (left centre and right) and a mono (same sound for left and right) rear channel all passed thru stereo cable.
The PS3 is capable of 7.1? digital sound although 5.1 is all you should really need consisting of front: left centre and right channels, rear left and right as well as a dedicated sub-woofer (the .1) channel.
The main consideration when choosing a surround system should be the inclusion of HDMI switching which will reduce the number of cables (hence expense) and also improve picture and sound quality.
The PS3 has HDMI version 1.3 output but recievers carrying this feature are expensive if you are not concerned about having lossless audio (you will struggle to tell the difference unless your speakers are mega expensive) or if your TV is compatible with Deep Colour (increased pallet) it's probably not worth chasing after HDMI 1.3 compatibility.
The sound processing is relatively new tech and hence somewhat over-priced. I would suggest buying as good a speaker system as you can afford (these should be OK for years) and a relatively cheaper receiver to tide you over until the cost of the newer tech falls.
Good luck and enjoy your surround (I am still saving for sound after blowing all my cash on a PS3 and a 46" Bravia) :)
