Yep, I agree with you that there is some good GPU and Main that can be used for 2-3 years without worrying (your GTX 680 is a good example, and even the ATI Radeon 5870 more than 3 years old now is still good as hell). There is something I still dislike much about gaming PC: power consumption, high price (at least 800$ to play the latest games is not that cheap), using keyboard and mouse is not my style.
Yes, it has already started, and will be ended up next week! Just grabbed Dragonborn DLC for just 10$ and 3 versions of TWD for 200 MS points each. What a deal!
Graphically, Both versions of Bioshock Infinite are nearly identical, the difference are too small and negligible Regarding the performance, looking back to the game Skyrim, PS3 version has no screen-tearing but very bad frame rate, it is near unplayable when you are on the fighting scenes, and Xbox has much better frame rate, but screen tearing exist. Then if make a performance comparison on Bioshock Infinite, Xbox version has worse frame rate, but no where near the bad performance of Skyrim on PS3, and surely doesn't disrupt you much from enjoying the fun. Though the PS3 will give you smoother experience, but you will have to pay a price: high level of screen-tearing So neither version is perfect, it depends pretty much on your preference: smoother gameplay or much less screen tearing. PC is still the best, but I cannot afford to change the PC hardwares every 6 months.
