Experiencing same stuff, started watching games, as in watching videos of someone else going through a game.

Rewatched a guy play a game all the way through on extreme difficulty - the game i barely finished on normal a good while back - surprisingly found it pretty enjoyable.

Potential hiccup here: some games that include strategy - you really want them to hear some commentary for watching to be meaningful, but for some titles i only find videos commented by "OMG that was AWESOME!!!"-screaming kids.

More or less linear games though - looking up "title_of_the_game walkthrough no commentary" on youtube gives more and more complete games.
