It's been a while, Gamespot. I migratetd to 1UP several months ago, for several reasons I won't name. But, I'm back. The new lay-out, plus a better profile system, was just too much to resist.
In the meantime, Christmas went fairly well this year. I recieved around 500 dollars in cash money. I didn't spend too much of it. I'm one of those people who likes to save their money for future events. I did purchase several movies and some games, though.
In the games department, I purchased Dragon Quest VIII, which has been killer awesome so far. I'm currently searching for the Venus Tear, which Ms. Red has ordered me to go find if I want Medea back. I love everything about the game so far. The character design is by far the greatest aspect of the game, though. Akira Toriyama is a great character creator, and for the first time in a Dragon Quest/Warrior title, his animations are brought to life. It's very impressive.
I also purchased Call of Duty 2: Big Red One for the Xbox. I've already beaten it, so I regret buying it. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
I purchased several DVD's. The first is a Evangelion double pack. It contains "Evangelion: Death and Rebirth" and "The End of Evangelion" which are pretty hard to find on their own. Death and Rebirth is basically a recount/review of the entire series. I haven't seen the whole series, so it was rather interesting. The End of Evangelion is the weirdest move I've ever seen. It makes perfect sense for the first half, but then it sorta destroys itself at the second half. Still a great movie, but it didn't make any sense at all. Asuka got it bad. Had her eye gouged and her arm split in half. She is my favorite character, after-all. Very sad.
The Fatal Fury movie wasn't half-bad. Despite the fact that the girl Sulia talks for about 15 minutes (very boring) and Terry and Andy look like 15 year old school girls, it was pretty good. It even had a shower scene, aka Street Fighter II. You can guess who was in teh shower. :D
I also bought Goldmember (already seen it) and Minority Report (great, already seen it). That's pretty much it. It was a fun Christmas overall. There just wasn't too much out to buy right now. I have to buy a new cell phone, though. My old one got washed. :P
See ya next mission!
