I think you'd regret it. There's too many good games on the way. Most will be fine with the 3DS controls as they are, and if youreallyfelt one or two would benefit greatly from a second analog stick, you could always get the add-on.

I will not buy the adapter, do not put that ridiculous thing in my 3DS ... would be ashamed to use it on the street.
I am in a similar boat as you TC. This whole thing has left a sour taste around nintendo for me. A price cut that soon is a huge slap in the face. A second analog now? We all knew that the 3DS should have one since the day it was first announced and some of us hoped for a redesign before launch. I don't necessarily think it needs one but this shows that devs certainly want it, some games are supporting it, and so this whole thing will just drag down the 3DS for years to come.
If there is a redesign with a second analog, the only action that would make me feel good about nintendo is if they let us trade in our old one, even just for some credit towards the new model. That would be some 'above and beyond' that would show that they care about their most devoted customers.
Also, I love how people compare this possible redesign to the DSphat vs. DSlite. This is completely different! DSphat still had every ability that the DSlite did. This new analog opens the door to a dev releasing a game that requires the second analog. They would only be spitting on the first wave of customers. Nevermind that we first adopters are their most loyal customers. How much can they take advantage of us like this? I feel they owe me.

Exactly what I think, take note that the adapter not include only a second analog, but, also 2 new buttons :/
hah if you're concerned about visuals when gaming then get a gaming pc, otherwise it doesn't matter what console you get, their all trash compared to the PC. Well thats my philosophy anyways so i don't really care if I have a wii as my gaming console or the ps3

PC is to work not to PLAY, videogame IS THE WAY to play FOR ME... HALO 3 is better than all FPS from PC Uncharted is the best TPS EVER Mario is the best platform game also...
