Quite an interesting week of news stories. Lets go over some of the ones that caught my interest:
Roger Goodell says that Bill Belichick has been taping defensive signals since 2000. Why am I not surprised? But I guess the more important question would be: Why did Goodell have the Spygate tapes destroyed? We're still waiting for an answer to that one.
The good news: EA announces sequels for Skate, Burnout, and Need for Speed. The bad news: EA Sports announced that the Exclusive NFL license has been extened until 2012.
Not to be outdone Acti-Blizzard also announces sequels for Spider-Man, Call of Duty and Marvel Ultimate Freakin Alliance! On an interesting side note, I have heard rumors that despite earning every "Best of" award ever created The next Call of Duty will not be made by Infinity Ward and will be set back in WWII. Again this is only a rumor.
Tim Silvia, Tito Ortiz, Andre Arlofski, and Mirko Cro Cop all want out of UFC. I don't blame them. According to my sources UFC has allowed Cro Cop to take a leave of absense and fight in other promotions while still remain under contract with UFC(He still has one fight left). The interesting thing is that Dana White is not a big fan of Inter-promotional fights or letting his contracted fighters fight else where, so one wonders just how in the hell Cro Cop was able to do that.
Jermaine Taylor (27-1-1, 17 Knockouts) gets set this Saturday to fight Kelly Pavlik (32-0, 29 Knockouts) at 166 pounds. You read that right, this Pay Per Veiw fight is non title. Now, I don't like the idea of paying for a Jermaine Taylor fight, especially one that seems like it was carved especially for him, any more then paying for a Maywether/De La-Hoya rematch. But what are the odds of that happening, right?
And finally the trailer for "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was finally revealed today, 2-14-08. You can check it out here.
