Almost nothing on the ps3 goes in full hd (1080p), if you ps3 fanboys were into that dellusion.... most games are rendered in the same res on both platforms (720p tops really), and is then upscaled on ps3 by software and cpu/gpu-cycle cost, and on 360 by hardware for free. The biggest difference that makes almost every game (multiplat or not) better looking on the 360 is the fact the devs get free 2xaa (anti-aliasing) from the gpu on it, whereas on the ps3 all added anti-aliasing costs gpu/cpu-cycles and framerate. Graphics are regularly less "edgy" on the 360.
More effort coding the ps3? Isn't the regular dev time-cycle already x2.5 the time xbox games has?Still need to put in *more* effort? Perhaps the ps3 machinery isn't as elegant as some folks would think....
"alright, my brother has a 360 and I have a PS3 and we both got COD4 and GTA4 for our respective systems and when I have my PS3 working at its optimum settings with my HD TV it looks a hell of a lot better than my brother's on his HD... and he hates me for it" Same HD TV? Me thinks someone's being delusional. lol.
Yes MSG4 will prove something. Too sad all I've seen is high def gfx on the snake char only, while the surrounding looks blocky and bleak......... but, let's hope all that uncompressed sound in twenty languages adds to the experience. lol.
