non-influencer twitter user claims to have seen Captain Marvel. Gives spoilers(NO SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD)

A twitter user has allegedly seen captain Marvel without having some sort of pass for early screenings and she's giving away spoilers. For the sake of users that want to know more general, spoiler free info about the movie, I won't be posting spoilers here and neither should you.

Before I link to the twitter thread, MASSIVE SPOILER WARNING!!!! If you don't want the movie spoiled, don't go to the twitter thread.

Anyway, twitter user Sabrina The Movie girl allegedly gained access to the movie. Here is the general info with no spoilers

Movie quality-In regards to movie quality Sabrina's take was that the movie was "not horrible, not good" but "meh", "forgettable" and "generic, which falls in line with Thor the dark world. If that's so, then it would be in stark contrast to what officials and media have claimed about this movie and the glowing impressions of those invited in the early screenings.

Regarding Brie's acting-Hot topic, this one. Early trailers of captain Marvel depicted Danvers as this deadpan character with no emotion or expression. It is proved that Brie Larson can act(see the "room"), however when asked if Brie shows any kind of emotion in captain Marvel, Sabrina says that "She’s not even trying". If there is a reason People loved the MCU is because of the unique personalities that populated it. Stark is an eccentric, super rich inventor, Rogers is the kind hearted and heroic hero that tried to do the best, Thor was a spoiled brat that learned to be humble and be strong when he lost his entire family. IF there is nothing to captain Marvel then what is the point

Wokeness-Pretty much the elephant in the room. Brie Larson's unrefined and rather scorching activism had many users asking how activist the movie was. Sabrina responded with "subliminal", but also scores it with a probable 9 out of 10. Generally I wasn't able to figure out exactly how much the movie pushes identity politics and feminist activism.

My final thoughts are that, if Sabrina is telling the truth, then captain Marvel is a middling movie overhyped beyond reason.

Patrick Söderlund thinks we're stupid

SOURCES HERE: EA didn't intend to "create a slot machine" in Battlefront 2

AND FULL INTERVIEW HERE:EA's Patrick Söderlund on Battlefront II and indie titles

So Head Dev at EA, mister Patrick Söderlund* weighted partly in the subject of the loot box controversy of battlefront 2 In an interview

The things he said are at the least bit egregious.

Now imagine your girlfriend/wife telling you that she didn't cheat on you, and that she did it to improve and strengthen your relationship, but it didn't quite work, and it wasn't cheating although you might think it is. Meanwhile her and her lover's sex tape is playing on a 60 inch tv in 4k with crystal clear sound right in front of you. This is the kind of situation we're facing here.

“I think as with any creative form where you run a large team, such as in games or film, you have to realise that not everything you do will be successful"

In your case THANK GOD IT WASN'T! And to top it off, there is zero creative integrity or merit on how Battlefront 2 was made. Calling your loot boxes(or any kind of in-game monetization) creative or trying to attribute them with any merit besides ripping us off is disgusting. At the very least I can call it cunning, thought that is a stretch since all but the worst of apologists got wind of it.

There's more.

“When things don’t go as you thought they would, you have to be very humble(yeaaaah suuuure) towards what happened, take an honest approach with yourself and with the result(Wat?), and try to do better next time(you won't). This was an example of change that didn’t work(fortunately). There’s no getting away from the fact that we made some decisions that I think in hindsight we shouldn’t have made. Neither the developer nor [EA] intended to create a slot machine or take money from people, though that was the perception.”

This is where the whole thing gets insanely worse. This guy lies through his teeth. IT WAS EA'S INTENTION to create a slot machine!

Look at freaking NFS payback! It's not even trying to hide it for Christ sake!

No Caption Provided

It has been no big secret that EA employs psychologists in order to study how they can better cheat you off your money praying on people who might be susceptible to such practices, and that she patented some really shady systems regarding match making.

So basically this guy thinks we're idiots. He expects us to buy it. No Sir!

Trying origin access for the first time

When Origin access was announced way back, i couldn't help but cringe in the idea of another subscription games service, since I'm not really fond of such services, and especially with rumours going around it needed gold membership on the xbone to work.

After it came out I thought nothing of it. It moved to the back of my mind. Until I saw it mentioned a couple of times sometime ago in total biscuit's co-optional podcast. I thought I should check it out and I found it quite a neat idea and a good value.

I refrained from trying it though. Services like PS+ and Live gold, lock stuff behind a paywall instead of being a bonus to them. "But access is not like these" I hear you say? Well, I owned a 360 for quite some time before I sold it to buy a PSU and I played a slew of games, chromehounds, Forza 2 and 3 etc, and the stuff these games wouldn't let you do was egregious. I think it was kinda natural that I had developed a prejudice against them, even if their offences were not that bad.

A while back, EA started a 7 day free trial of the service, and so I decided to finally try it. Unfortunately it still required a subscription, and since I dont own any cards to use in such situations I backed off. Recently I asked my brother(who is basically the holder of any and all debit cards in our houshold) to lend me the four euros that were needed to use the service. I was determined to try it, having reasoned that Access is basically what its name implies. You get unlimited access to games you havent even bought, and not to gain access to essential features that are held to ransom.

And so, a few days in, I have to say, its great. For starters theres a ton of games I wanted to try, but not willing to buy such as a multitude of indies like little metro, the banner saga furi and others. Then there is the C&C games, at least those that have not gone freeware, and the games that I did want to play, like the ME trilogy, NFS2015 in depth, mirrors edge and the saboteur.

There are drawbacks however. For starters I got four issues when it comes to subscribing. Firstly, it's not imidiately apparent how you can cancel your subscrition, and you got to dig a bit deep unless you look into the access FAQ. This is followed by my second issue the fact you cant do a one off subscription. You have to get a perma sub which then you have to manually cancel. Third one, theres only two options 1 month for 4 euros and one year for 25. There is nothing in between. It's all or nothing. And the fourth is that there is no way to see how much time you got left.

One more issue I have is that there are many games that I would like to see, like most if not all the older NFS games, propably even bring Jane's simulators in etc

My final verdict is that altough it has some issues it more than makes up for it. I will wait until my month ends before I decide wether or not I go with a full year.
