Acording to wikipedia the 40GB will have have built-in Wi-Fi, and the blu-ray games are completly region free. Also most ps1 games will run through software emulation, but no ps2 backwards compatibily at all, which is very bafiling.
What i was wondering, when you update the 60GB PS3 to Firmware 1.60, you get like 72% backwards compatibility. Does that mean the 40GB PS3 will have completly different Firmware?

I can tell you that spyro 2 was taken off the store because about 5% through the game or so the screen would go black and freeze everytime. So there taken it off to apparently fix it, not sure about Crash 2 though, could be the same thing.
Just like the PS3 Games (which are also on blu-ray) Blu-Ray disks are region free. Ive got Madden NFL 07 NTSC version working on my New Zealand (PAL) PS3, with no hassles at all.
