Computer -o- Death

So I got a computer and it kicks ass. It is definitely a lot more nicer than my old desktop. It is the HP Pavilion dv8000t CTO NB. Here are some of the specs.

- Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
(VISTA upgradeable, what a joke!!!)
- Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo processor T2500 (2.0 GHz)
(These duo processors are hot.)
- 17.0" WSXGA+ BrightView Widescreen (1680x1050)
(A little Glossy, but hotà THE RATIO)
- 256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7600
(Much more nicer than my old 128MB on my Desk Top)
- 1.0GB DDR2 SDRAM (2x512MB)
(Could be better)
- 100 GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive
(I think I am going to by an external*)
- LightScribe Super Multi w/DL
(Whatever)
- Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
- HP ExpressCard Analog TV Tuner w/remote control
(haven’t really had a chance to abuse this yet, and probably won’t)
- 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
(hasn’t died yet?)
- Microsoft(R) Works/Money
(Software should be FREE)
- HP Mobile Remote Control
(This thing is nice)

The keyboard is really nice with the number pad on the right, and the Quickplay is still in the labs… I freaking love wireless Ethernet laptops; it’s a new concept for me. I have been a desk top user since I was a little sperm. I give this/my laptop a 9.2 stars out of 10. My negatives are 1. The speakers, but you can’t expect a 7.1 Dolby Digital surround system. And 2. The screen is too reflective.

* My next purchase is going to be some kind of an external hard drive. Either some kind of factory external that is around 160GB 7200 rpm, or I will make my own with some laptop internal hard drive and some kind of case, but this might not have as much space as I would prefer, and it also might overheat. On the plus side it will be cheaper and smaller
