Oh man, frankly, do shut up....if only western gamers talked and downloaded less but bought more good PSP games the situation could be brighter, that's the point.

Have you noticed that this console sees lots of new good stuff in Japan which never comes here?

Dissidia-Star Ocean1-Star Ocean2-Tales of Rebirth-Tales of Destiny2-FF CC-Kingdom Hearts-Patapon-Coded Soul-Monster Hunter G 2-Legend of Heroes VI-Locoroco 2-Everybody Golf 2-Yuusha no Kuse ni Namiakida....I wonder how much of this good software is gonna remain in the Land of the rising Sun...well, at least you have Wipeout Pulse and GTMobile as new masterpieces

I love Legacy of Kain...too bad Amy Henning, mind of the series, left CD for Naughty Dog and Uncharted. Well, at least this game is gonna be great story-wise.

   I swear some of these people who fell for the marketing of the PS3 and 360 came out have to be real young. You know what all those previews of consoles that weren't out yet? They were "teasers" and they can hide behind "optimism" for what games will look like on finalized hardware. Has any PS3 game looked even close to those CG shots, that for some reason you think is real-time? This is just like the PS2 launch, when they showed insane amounts of things that would never be possible on the hardware. 
Hell! I remember the first previews for The Bouncer that looked amazing with a bunch of physics and stuff, and that turned out nothing like they had shown.  NickinAround
Whoa, you discover America! Do they really fool us with pre-render stuff? Everyone here were sure Toy story on PS1 was real time!

Without sarcasm, maybe I'm not explaining well. The times and the manners of DMC4's history suggest a peculiar scenario: originally the game was an exclusive created to full utilize (at least for that time and knowledge) Cell, RSX and how they interconnect with each other; then, with PS3 lame sell number, they switched target and used LO/DR engine, only at 60 fps and 1080p: multiplatform joy. That's my theory....btw, FFXIII  in-game cut-scene (no IA, no physics, no enemies, etc..) are not far from that screen above -_-


  Anyone who thought PS3 would be pumping out CG graphics is an idiot! Plain and simple 

Dude, everyone knows what CG is: frame by frame workstation job.... but, returning IT, must I remind you that exclusive games tend to be more well crafted than multi, which will never shown the true potential of the HWs?

i hate capcom why cant they just say the game is gonna be multiplatform from the begining they get us like omg the game is ps3 exclusive i am gonna get the ps3 for this game then out of the blue they say its multiplatform why do they have to lie i lost all of my respect to capcomFadixon
Yeah, first they got the hype for creating "a big PS3 exclusive", then revealed it was just another multi....but, what do you think about my theory and the screen?

I'm not a fan of the series, but it's a shame nonetheless if this game was truly downgraded for a easier port to other platforms....

Let's recap the story: Devil May Cry 4 was announced at E3 05 during PS3 debut as exclusives; only some seconds of target render was shown at the time.

Then, on September 05 a small teaser was released...a screen for it Dante's shot

September 2006. The first real gameplay footage was shown...and ALL was real different from that screen, from Dante to the textures; plus, all seemed "strangely" similar to a 60 fps 1080p Lost Odissey...

Eventually, on March 2007, Capcom "proudly" announced DMC4 as a multi-platform game, with simultaneous release for PS3, xbox360 and PC....and the three version will going to be and look the same.

Was that screen from in-game cut-scene or CG? Do you think Capcom was working on the DMCmulti-project at least ONE YEAR before the announcement and, in the end, the game's graphics was downgraded from the original target for that?

This, and Guns of the Patriots, are the reason I'm gonna get PS3

And listen to this Sony: if FFXIII isn't exclusive you can take your console...DS&PSP combo baby, no more home gaming.

So, it's better if you buy this exclusive, FOR ONE TIME. The time when every third-party bow to your knees is ended.

I agree. The only good thing of FFX was it's graphics. But the story was just too lame (worst of all FF games).

From what I've understood he said a different thing: Tidus's voice acting sucked badly....(really some 9 years girl "look" like Tidus? Lol, on Halloween maybe :) )
