That's fine (I got one as soon as I could, so I will not get on you for being inpatient). I don't think you will regret getting one, I just hope you don't end up regretting the price (but I don't regret buying mine for $500).
I don't think i will because i plan on taking full adavntage of the system, I don't plan on buying Blu-ray movies as much as renting them. I went to hollywood video and they have specials sometimes where blu-rays are free to rent, the guy said it was a promotion of some kind.
I was hesitant to buy a PS3 at first too (owned a 360 for a year before I gave in) but its a great system. There is a solid amount of quality games already out and a promising lineup ahead. I really don't see the PS3 dying out considering how long Sony kept the PS1 and PS2 running.CRUSHER88
yeah its amazing that the PS2 is still selling, thats nuts to me, that frickend thing is so old.
I have made up my mind I am going to get a PS, but one more thing I like the games, Resistance, Killzone, and MGS, What games do I have to look forward to in 09, I have been a xbox guy up until this point, so i have no clue of whats next.
I say yes! especially if you are interested in it's games. The only thing is, you may want to wait for a price cut (if you are patient), I know I would kick myself if I bought a system only to have it lowered in price in the following weeks. Oh, it will not pull a dreamcast on you Sony has made it a point to support their systems for over 5 years (PS1/PS2 is proof of that and PSP is still being strongly supported)

I think theres value in a $200 Arcade, since it can play 90%+ of PS3s library (multiplats) at half the price. Then if you happen to want a Hard Drive for all that exclusive DLC the 360 gets, it'll cost you another $100. And a wireless adaptor, for the convenience, another $100... Hey look! $400! exactly, microsoft pulled a fast one with the $200.00 price point, I remember buying my 360 i had just enough to get the console and a game, i bought oblivion and the guy at gamestop told me i wont be able to save my game, without another $100.00. I was kinda let down, because the xbox is touted as having the same capabilties as the PS but falls short in a few ways.

One AAAE the other is clearly multiplat.......as MLB 07 and MLB 08 were also multiplat, making 09 a multiplat as well. The market clearly disagreess with you. TIP: In a generation flooded with fps agmes, DONT make another fps :lol: ..........unless its Halo :P
MLB 09 PS2 doesn't count, it wasen't rated by GS MLB 09 PS3 is exclusive
so that's 2 AAAE and more comming up hope the 6 hour halo expansion not made by bungie + 2 halo 3 maps will be worth your 1 year wait :lol: honeslty i used to be a big halo fan, i used to walk my xbox to my friends and system link, but i am really tired of halo not to bash but its just more of the same to me with updated graphics, i think alot of people feel this ways because there making a different style halo axing masterchief with there next installment.
Look at the library - there could be enough games that you'll like that'll make the system worth it regardless if it dies in the future. If not, don't buy it until there are.

I thank everyone for there participation in this thread, Another question I had is the PS barely showing its true colors, because Killzone looks remarkable and MGS does too, I am one to like shiny things, I realize that the xbox has reached its potential graphically is the PS still bringin its true graphics to life?
