Although I have posted no word on it at this site, the past week for me has been about one game, and that is Radiata Stories. I bought it because a friend who I respect enjoyed it. I started to play it on a whim. I kept playing because it was very enjoyable.

Well polished and impressive, this is what Radiata Stories is. The game script (up until the last few hours) is some of the best to ever grace a game, full of teenaged humor and literal satire that is rare in any medium. The game shines brightly.

Until the last 3 hours.

Never have I seen a game fall apart faster than Radiata Stories did. Understand, there are two paths in this games. The one I chose, while seemingly equal, appears to be the one they forgot to give any good plot to. While it is still a horrible mistake, if the other side is unforgetablly great then I can forgive them a fair bit.

I just wanted to say this because I have been living, breathing, and loving Radiata Stories.

I am in the live chat now and this game may be my GOTY just from 3rd person experience to be honest.

Going to play this game hours on end when I get it.

For those who do not knowme, I am a big fan of the Dragon Quest series. My GS icon is the sprite form of the Dragon Quest 5 hero, a game never released in America.

Anwyay, I think Final Fantasy does not have the constant greatness that DQ can claim. While Final Fantasy released FFIV, a very good game, FFV, a hit or miss game, and FFVI, in my opinion a very overrated and bipolar like game(great first half, horrible second game) Dragon Quest vastly improved on it's earlier formula(which was more expansive and better received than the failure known as FF2) and created Dragon Warrior IV. An RPG on the NES that was at the very least on par with any Final Fantasy pre PS1 era.

mind you, I like the Final Fantasy series. I think it is a quality series and it's main series is one of the best out there. However a lot of their newer games sorely tarnish the series. Mostly Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. The game, I feel, is horrible by its own right and combine the fact that it was supposed to be a sequel to FFT, that just adds to the fact.

I am Sir Chris, I am a DQ fanboy, and you need to buy Dragon Quest VIII, the best RPG this generation, because I said so.

...Please?

At least rent it!
