This is why I'm happy to be a PC gamer. Don't have to worry about graphics wars since my nVidia Geforce 9800GX2 graphics card delivers visuals that console gamers can only dream of :)
iPhone is a great gaming platform because it has simplified hardware. Other phones have countless screen sizes, chipsets, control mechanisms, broken-up app stores while Apple keeps everything neat, similar to what consoles do. This makes it extremely easy for developers to make games, since they only have to focus on one hardware configuration and not 23,756 hardware configurations. iPhone may not be as big as the PSP/DS in terms of high-level gaming luxury (at least, not yet), but it sure smacks down all other phones, thats for sure. Proud iPhone owner :)
After reading some of the comments here, it appears that many people are angry over this hardware update, especially those who already own a DS Lite. I can understand the frusturation of current DS Lite owners (I am one too) but if companies never made any hardware updates/improvements, we would still be playing PS1 and N64 by now.
Quote: "The Australian dollar may be growing stronger compared to other global currencies, but that hasn't pushed prices downwards" Does this mean that if the Australian dollar started going downhill, then games WOULDN'T get any more expensive for us?
EA is the biggest culprit when it comes to punishing Aussies, especially on their EA-Link online store (yes, online store). Some of their games are $99 AUD, while they are $19 USD in the USA. That means we pay $99 when Americans pay $23. Why would Aussies need to pay an extra $76?
My PC has a 9800GX2 graphics card, 4 gigs of RAM and an E8500 processor. My computer can smash any consoles graphics. I was looking at this graphics comparison article, and was laughing about how PS3/360 graphics compare to Crysis on my computer on High settings.
