The story so far...

So if anyone actually does read my blogs it's obvious that I haven't posted one in a while. There's been lots going on I just haven't seemed to have much time to do this. But now I do, so, where to start.

As I said in my last blog I had finished my HSC which was very satisfying to get out of the way. I got accepted into the university I wanted. Bachelor of Arts (Animation and Visual Effects). I deferred it for a year and am going to be working for my dad for a year to make some cash. I'm saving to go to Germany for 5 weeks and I'll be staying with a friend I made while he lived with my family for 3 months late in 2009. That should be great.

For Christmas I stayed at my cousins place for a couple weeks then spent a week up at the coast. It was all good fun. Very relaxing and I bought some new Xbox games which was cool. I finally got my hands on Fallout New Vegas and I'm still playing it.

That's about all I can think of at the moment so I'll try to post again sooner than last time.

Freedom, how great thou art!

It's been a while since my last blog post since I've had my final HSC exams on until recently. They finished friday and I am very happy to say that I am officially finished with high school. It is a great feeling. I'm free for a while. It hasn't entirely caught up with me yet though, it's hard to come to terms with the fact that I never need to go back there again.

Anyway, that's been great, and it's time for me to catch up with all the games that I had started but never got around to finishing. For example. Fallout 3. Everyone says what a great game it is, and I have owned it for quite some time now. But I had only played about an hour into it before I took a break from playing Xbox and never got back into playing it. So a few days ago I started anew game and decided to go about digging into it. I haven't exactly been pushing through the main storyline of it but instead have taken to exploring the wastelands. AndI must say, I have been really enjoying it, clocking up at least 20 hours of just exploring and having fun.

Playing Fallout 3 had me seeing the similarities compared to The Elder Scrolls IV: Obivion. So I decided to get the Oblivion Soundtrack and I think it has some great songs. They would take me back to playing Oblivion and the awesome landscapes I would see. It's just a great game. Both games are.

That's about it for now,

Approaching 18

So my 18th birthday is now only 2 days away as I conclude my last weekend as a minor. On Saturday I went to the local town show and spent some time with my girlfriend and today I just relaxed at home. Sadly though, today I had plenty of little things I needed to do, so I found no opportunity to play my Xbox.

Tomorrow I shall definitely play it though. Perhaps I'll attempt some more Halo Reach on legendary, or maybe burn some hours playing Oblivion. I might even go back and try finishing some games I haven't gotten around to finishing, like Fallout 3 or Far Cry 2. Either way, I'll be spending my last day as (technically) a child.

I'm quite looking forward to my birthday (apparently I'm getting a new iPod), but I usually don't get over-excited. Nevertheless, it will be good to hit that benchmark and then once my HSC is over I can start living properly.

School's Out

So I'm currently finishing my final year at school, with my last HSC exam being the 5th of November. Tuesday of this week I had my last normal school day. I could not have come soon enough. Tuesday night me and my friends went to a party with everyone from our year and then Wednesday, we had our muck up day. It was a lot of fun and great to spend some time with all the year since soon I'll see very little of all of them. Today was the Year 12 final assembly/presentation.

It's all been fairly fun but I've had mixed feeling, whether to be happy that school is now finally over or that I should be disappointed about needing to move on and parting ways with friends (some of which I've known for the majority of my life). But all in all I'm close to finishing a chapter in my life and I will be looking forward to going into the future and making new friends along the way.

That's all for now.

Reach

Ok. So I picked up my Halo Reach Legendary Edition on thursday and that night I played from 11 til 6 in the morning. Although I had school the next day and I got one hours sleep it was still very worth it. Friday night I finished it on normal I think it is a freakin awesome game. Last night I started it on legendary but only had time to finish the first mission.

The sculpture of Noble Team that came with the massive box that is legendary edition is great. Definitely worth the extra money spent on it. Problem is though, I no longer have any money left. Hopefully I can make some more money in the next month in time for Fable 3 to come out since I have also preordered the limited edition of it. Lol.

That's about it. Will attempt some more legendary halo reach tonight.

First Blog Post

Not sure how much I'm supposed to write for this to be classified a proper blog. Anyway, I'll just write whatever.

So Halo Reach is already out. That's great. A total drag that I can't pick up my preordered legendary edition until tomorrow afternoon. I have been waiting for this game for ages and it kills me since two of my friends already have and and are talking about how awesome it it. I am really looking forward to getting that game tomorrow. When I get home with it and start playing, I don't think I'll be doing too much sleeping. I'm going to put in a decent effort to get through as much as possible that night until I can't stay awake any longer.

Bad thing about that is that I have school the next day. The HSC sucks. Both the release of this game and the end of year 12 have been placed in the perfectly worst times of my year. I'm going to need to lock up my game after the weekend otherwise I just won't be able to keep off it.
