I see a couple people under the impression that PvP is for subscribers only. It's not. Subscribers get additional PvP modes, but free players will still have some form of PvP.
While I'm here I may as well mention the cap for both subscribers and non-subscribers at launch will be 50. Also, there will be 3 difficulty lvls (same as D2) that are accessible by both subscribers and non-subscribers.
Obviously you aren't thinking about the long run, if content patchs are only for those who pay the subscription there will be great inequalities between the elite and those who are non-paying costumers. A game that is not an mmo but costs money to purchase should not allow people to pay to gain any variety of edge over those who choose not to. GG_No_Re
The only way it's not an MMO is the fact that it's instanced. I for one prefer instances so I don't have to deal with spawn campers and kill stealers and stupid people in general. But anyway, they're considering putting out a retail box after about a year that would encompass the more significant updates so free players and offline players can get more content.
lol I bet they make fake server ques, just so people feel they need to upgrade even though realistically not enough people are logging on.mrbojangles25
Flagship's community guy told us it's unlikely there will ever be login queues, but in the event the servers ever get that congested, subscribers will get priority.
Actually, I am more worried that they will not be able to handle the amount of people playing this game online. I predict this game to be a tremendous hit, and I just hope this newely created development studio will be able to handle it. Make no mistake...this IS Diablo III!dnuggs40
They've been working with HanbitSoft from Korea to create Ping-0. Ping-0 is their infrastructure they have designed to host not only HG:L and Mythos, but intend to use it for other games in the future. I think EA and Namco wanted to use it too. But anyway, they've already been stress testing it with Mythos, they know what they're doing.
