RE:5 Demo thoughts

I downloaded the RE:5 demo on Monday like most people who are hyped for this game. But here are my thoughts on it

  • I thought the graphics were just as good as any game out there to date and probably will take the crown as best graphics on a console.

  • The controls are just as i expected them to be which is just like RE:4's I thought the variety in the melee moves was a good change.

  • The co-op dynamic was a great change to the universe and its great that you can now share this with your friends and play with another human rather than sitting alone....playing RE:4....and beating it 20 times...like me XD

  • The two levels i was able to play were good and creative even on my 5th run through a level i still found new stuff.

  • The AI is very thick headed to the point where i could run right by them and they'd slowly turn and look at each other like they never thought of this maneuver. But then again they are infected zombies

  • Your AI partner is stands behind you like she has confidence issues and takes your every order you could probably strip her of all her weapons and she'd still obey. But as with the zombies i guess it would be not as fun if you couldn't but it does take away from the realistic aspect. but i guess we threw that out the window the moment a butcher with nails poking out his body cut off a mans head with an axe the size or a modern car.

After all of that as long as you go into the demo without the idea that this game will spark a gaming revolution you will find a great demo that hypes the game to what it deserves.

Then again i am a huge fan of the RE series and basically anything but the outbreak and umbrella chronicles was solid gold!

Gamespots' On the Spot Show

I have been watching On the Spot before i've even became a registered member of Gamespot.I loved the show and tuned in every week at thrusday. Infact it was basically part of my day to day schedule for the afternoons on thurs. Get home from pratice get something to eat, sit down, crank up the volume and enjoy a good episode of On the Spot. Every week they'd show good games crack a few jokes and have a good time.

But the good things never last that long. The Episode that aired 7/26/07 was hosts Rich Gallups last On the Spot. I was in shock i couldn't believe that my favorite of the crew was going to leave. After Rich left Jeff took his place I noticed after a few episodes the games became less interesting and less in general i figured they'd find some good games soon. they did not. I stoped watching the show for awhile.

Things started getting worse. The episode that aired 11/15/07 was Jeff Gerstmans offical last episode. When this happened all of Gamespot was in panic and rumours started to fly about why and how he left but in all of this. I knew that when Jeff left On the Spot was just gonna get worse and worse.....

On the Spot suffered with out Rich and Jeff......

When thing seemed like they couldn't get any worse they some how did. episodes 1/24/08 and 2/14/08 was when On the Spot lost 2 more orignal cast members Alex Navarro and Ryan Davis. This is what killed On the Spot for me.

Now 4 are gone. Hardly any of the orignal cast members are still on there. I hope On the Spot picks up or i guess i'll stop watching......

Why I sold my Wii

I sold my Wii because it didn't hold my intrest for that long the line up is just isn't that good to me sure they going to have SSBB and SMG and RE: UC and Mario Kart but whats after that? I know nintendo is going to put out more games but the Wii doesn't have good third party support and the third party game that are out are usually crap. Then there is the graphics now i'm not a graphics whore but looking at good graphics is nice and playing 360s then going home to my wii is just kinda disappointing when i pop in a game. The online is another thing now i don't care about voice chat and all but some games are going toneed voice chat like FPSs and other team based games and friend codes are just a hassle i apperciate the sorta communication in SSBB with pre-written msgs but tht'll get lame after awhile. All in all i will probably re-purchase a Wii in like 2-3 years when they have soild games out and good online but right now i'm gonna purchase a 360 Elite and have tht for awhile.

Till then Wii i say Adue and Good Bye
