I mean, all cultures since the beggining of human race have believed in something out of this world, something powerfull, a god. Most likely they created them, but with what purpose?

I have been thinking about this and there are many reasons for us to believe in a god. We like to believe in a god because:

1. We are scare of death. No one knows where we are going, thats why we believe in something more powerfull than us and when we die we will leave everything in his hands. We feel confident that he will be there, and that there is nothing to be afraid.

2. To feel protected. When we are kids we depends of our parents but what happens when we grow? We like to feel protected even if god doesn't actually protect you.

3. To help us in the times of need. Everytime we get in problems or something bad happens to us we always pray to god. When there is no hope god is there to give us hope, because he is greatness.

4. God's teachings helps us become better persons. We are scare of hell, thats why we don't disobey his commandments preventing people to do bad things.

5. To explain everything in the world without scientific methods.

Does God really exist? I'm a believer and i use faith not reason. Maybe i don't want to stop believing because i'm scare of a world without a god, without a support, without a meaning.

Why we are here? Who brought us here? I believe in the scientific explanation but i'm sure there is something hidden, something powerfull involved in all this.
