I have an 80G PS3 in which I replaced the Hardrive with a 320G one. Can this increase the chances of getting YLOD? What can be done to prevent this? I've been feeling for the last couple of weeks that my PS3's time is coming any day now.

Don't worry man, I think the YLOD problem is mostly associated with the launch systems. I read that Sony used a cheap thermal paste on the launch systems that over time fails giving you the YLOD. The newer ones, especially the 80GB shouldn't have this problem.

It's sad, it seemed like it was going to run forever it being a launch 60GB, I was hoping from all of the dead 60GBs mine would be the one that just got lucky. Four and a half years (almost) is quiet along time considering some launch models started dying in 2008.

I also got a 60 GB PS3. I worry that it will die on me all the time. How did your PS3 die? Did it just die while you are playing it?

I was just playing and the game froze up, it shut itself off and the red light start blinking. I turned it on to try again and it ran fine for 20 minutes and it did the same thing, I then turned it back on onlyto recieve the yellow light. My system before has taken me back to the XMB before but I thought this could be just a random act like before, but I was wrong.

Do not use the recon;the recon mortar strike is very weak.Use assault with a shotgun or something that gives you C4 and choose the extra explosives enhancement which gives you six C4 I think. White pass is a good level to do it on, there is usually someone camping up in the three story buildings. Throw one charge on each of the main walls and 2 on the ceiling of the bottom floor, such as one on the top right portion and one on the bottom left portion and the building should collapse.

Hope that helps!

My friend tried to hook up his PS3 to my monitor yesterday. The only problem was the monitor didn't have a built-in speaker and didn't have input for my computer speakers so the sound would not work.

I do not know if I have collected it but it sounds like one of those planets you made in the game. Probably in the level were you are rolling up the universe. Just a guess.

ah mag still has a fanbase but platinuming it is impossible now.

i for one am wasteing my life getting the platinum for yakuza 3(91% just needto complete the pool minigame for theminigame master trophy)and FFXIII(71%)

and i was trying to get the rdr one but that game was just mediocer in my eyes and i dont have the patients to put up with platinuming a game i dont like

jsh020

How is it impossible to platinum MAG? The DLC is dead but does not count towards the plat, and there are at least a few thousand people that play it every day, which is not 250,000 like MW2, but it's still quiet a bit.

Not buying a PS3 because it doesn't have 1 feature? If you didn't have a PS3 to start with then you wouldn't have any friends on PSN either so who would you even talk to anyway?

But it's supposed to be coming. They kinda mentioned it being integrated into PlayStation Plus, but they also said it would be available to everybody so the details aren't clear. It's coming eventually (nobody knows when for sure) so if this is honestly the only reason you're not getting a PS3, then you might as well just get one now and wait for cross game chat to show up.

Ospov

He didn't say he wasn't buying a PS3 because it doesn't have "cross game chat", he said he's on the fence about getting PSN+ because the lack of this feature. Look at his sig, he has a PSN.

Ah, I see. His post wasn't very clear though so you can see how I misunderstood it. He actually never mentioned the PS3 or PS+ in his post...

My mistake! :?

I've did the same thing before! lol :)
