I almost always end up liking the main characters in a game though *shrugs* They grow on you I guess. Although Link has to be one of my favorites, and I like Dante too. But I don't know about the BEST.

Hahahahah. I love Harvest Moon though, it's addicting for some reason.

A lot of spin-offs are really quirky and just flat out awful.

I'm also going to go with Halo. It's nice and all, but just a but too repetitive...
