How many AA methods are there, and what do consoles use? And which is the best one performance wise? I'm not that tech-saavy

SMAA looks abit better than FXAA and has the roughly the same performance hit from my experience. And both SMAA and FXAA look better than MLAA imo. :)

Combat is not the only problem, and hitting someone with a razor sharp katana would slice them in half. The bigger problem is the original trailer actually resembled Metal Gear. It was over the top but still grounded in some sort of reality. The new trailer looks like Vanquish with swords, and almost cartoony. It looks terrible. How you can't see it is beyond me. :?

So Naughty Dog have turned into a movie cloning developer? This new game looks like a I am Legend / 28 Days Later clone. :|
