ok got a question

got my cable modem back today and was just curious how to do a wired connection with the ps3?

the only reason im asking is cause the back of the modem only has one ethernet cable imput. so if i put an ethernet cable in the back of the ps3 theres no where to imput it into the modem. so what would i need to do?

The regular edition, when it gets a sale or a price drop. I have the GoW collection on PS3, and I greatly enjoyed it, but the price was right too. 60$ for that kind of game is a bit too steep for me, I'll hold out until I can find it for 40$ or less. Still looking forward to it.

same here, got the collection for xmas and gunna wait til 3 has a price drop and can get it cheaper. i dont see myself spending $60 on it and plus i still got games a need to play so im not in a hurry to get it when its released

hi, im getting my cable modem installed tomorrow and they were supposed to be bringing a router to hook up to it so i can havethe wireless signal in my house for my other devices. but apparently they arnt now cause they could nt add it to the workl order and they will be mailing it to me and ill hook it up:

my question is how do i hook up the router to the cable modem?

is it as simple as just connecting an ethernet cable between them and it will put out the signal? or is it something more complicated?

ill just be using the signal for my lap top and gaming systems that have wifi in them that can get signals, not with other comps without wireless cards

thanks

wow are you serious? sigh, do us a favor and don't even get on...it'd help us all, really.

GrandJury

This was pretty rude.

I'm for definitly 100% serious. sorry im not mr. knowledge and dont know everything about everything and want to be cautious before hooking up an expensive piece of technology to the internet, cause we all know the internet is super safe and nothing bad can happen (and yes im being sarcastic).

anyway thanks to everyoneelse that provided intelligent information to my questions

Do you generally leave your games in the system or take them out when done playing?

for me:

360 - leave in

ps3- take out

wii- take out

have a question about a psn wired connection:

im getting my moden back this week and will be hooking up a router to it so i can pick up the signal on my other devices.

so the modem will be hoked up to my comp and then the router will be hooked up to the modem:

my question is if i do a wired connection with my ps3 will the ethernet cbale go from the ps3 to the back of the router? or the back of the modem?
