Top 10 Nintendo Franchises I Would like to see on the Wii

Top 10 Nintendo Franchises I Would like to see on the Wii

10. Yoshi
We all know that Yoshi's Story on the N64 had potential and that the Yoshi's Island series was a great success. The only Yoshi platforming game on a home console was back in the N64 days, almost a decade ago. The Gamecube missed its chance but the Wii is sure to have a long life, and Yoshi could be a part of that life.

9. Pokemon
Ok, Pokemon: Battle Revolution was a huge failure, right? The reason it didn't do so well is because it only focused on the battle aspect of the type of Pokemon games we grew up with and loved. How about we add the adventure that Battle Revolution never had. A 3D remake of the Red/Blue/Yellow Pokemon games would be phenomenal. No? Well, what about Pokemon Snap? The Wii's motion controls would be ideal for a game like that.

8. Mario Sports Titles
With Mario Striker Charged already out and Mario Super Sluggers on its way, you can bet your sweet little candy ass that Nintendo isn't done. We're still looking forward to hit Mario Sport Staples of Tennis and Golf returning on the Wii. Mario still has the potential to play in other sports as well, such as basketball, bowling, American football, and possibly even... lacrosse?

7. Kirby
Though there are rumors of a Kirby in development for the Wii, the "Big N" hasn't announced anything yet of the sort. Kirby missed his chance on the Gamecube and the N64 game, The Crystal Shards included the idea of combining your powers. Hopefully, if a Kirby game does land onto the Wii, the power fusion will remain.

6. Star Fox
Fans of the series want it and so do we. The motion controls could be very fitting for a game like this. There can be many types of controls to maneuver the ship and shoot enemies. The possibilities wouldn't be endless, but there sure would be a lot.

5. Pikmin
Oh, come on, Nintendo! This is one of your newest franchises and it only appeared on the Gamecube thus far! May I remind you, the Gamecube is one of Nintendo's greatest failures for a console (in sales anyways). New gamers and new Nintendo fans aren't going to know who Captain Olimar even is without picking up the gamecube games or from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

4. Kid Icarus
Everybody thought this series died. Seriously. But Brawl had to bring it back and make fans go crazy. Even the creator of Kid Icarus asked Sakurai if he could use the design of Pit from Brawl for a Wii version of the game. Hey, it could happen, and the chances of it should be fairly high.

3. The Legend of Zelda
Hey, Twilight Princess was originally supposed to be on the Gamecube, thus the Wii version is merely a port of the Gamecube version. We need a definitive Zelda game on our Wiis. I repeat: We NEED one! Whether it's Wind Waker-****or the more serious approach, fans will dance with glee.

2. Animal Crossing
There are so many online opportunities with this game, the most popular opportunity being making the game into an MMO. That would be the most epic and revolutionary implementation on any Nintendo console. Let's just hope we won't have to use Friend Codes.

1. ??? (New Franchise)
Dear Nintendo,
Get up off of your lazy asses and create some more beloved characters that Nintendo does so well into bringing. Mario and Link are getting a little old (not really), and us Wiiniis deserve a new franchise from Nintendo! An M-rated Nintendo game would be cool too.

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot Earthbound and F-Zero

Rambles & Rants: "Graphics: Why the Big Fuss?"

Seriously, do you know what really pisses me off? When there is a game on multiple platforms. One of those games is on the Wii and the other is on a 360. The Wii version has good to decent extra features and the 360 version has... achievements. Oh yeah, let me mention that they are both exactly the same price and you have both consoles. Honestly, which one are you most likely to choose? Don't even answer that question because I'll tell you; you're going to choose that god damn 360 version because it has better graphics.

Are you joking? That's like saying "Would you like one delicious chocolate bar or three bags of M&Ms?". Ok, maybe that's a bad example, especially if you hate M&Ms, but still. Ok, here is another example. "Would you rather play the original 8-bit Legend of Zelda or a Philips CD-i Link Collection?" Yeah, that's what I thought. Graphics don't really matter in those situations now, do they? So, why should they matter so much today?

Some great games' scores have gone down considerably just based off of a game's graphics. Some games have even not sold many copies because of graphics. Here's an example of a great game that didn't sell many games: Okami. Many people are turned off by cel-shading, so they stay away from games like that. Okami is possibly one of THE best games on the PS2 and yet almost nobody has played it. Hopefully it'll do better on the Wii. Here's another example, some die-hard Nintendo/Zelda fans got riled up about the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. And some fans even didn't buy the game to tell Nintendo that their cel-shaded Link was an inferior version of an 'Ocarina of Time' Link. Screw you.

One reason I am bringing this up now is because a new Star Wars game called "The Force Unleashed" is going to be on multiple consoles. The Wii version gets 5 extra levels that the PS3 and Xbox 360 do not get. Oh wait, there's one more feature: Dual Mode. In this mode you can play in a local multiplayer brawl as a jedi knight. Now if my calculations are correct... the 360 and PS3 version will outsell the Wii version. Why? Because people of believe in the saying "Quality over Quantity". Sure, that may be right, but where the 360 and PS3 shine are on the visuals. The Wii version shines on gameplay and extra features. Now I'm not a Star Wars fan but there are many, and if the Wii doesn't outsell the othe other consoles, I'll be pretty riled up.

Wiiniis-United

I recently started a website called Wiiniis-United [http://Wiiniis-United.co.nr]. On the site we basically review Nintendo Wii and DS games. All of the reviews I have posted are also on the website. Please check out the website (and join too!). I also need a few more Reviewers on the team. In total, I only have about 4-5 Reviewers inckuding myself. If you rent games often (or get some illegal copies of games, which I do NOT condone) feel free to come to our site as a reviewer. Of course I will have to see how well you can write a review and how descriptive it can be, so either e-mail me the review at [xxxjxx][@][gmail.com] or go to my website's forum and post it up in the "Player Reviews" section. Hopefully, I will see you there! ^_^
