Sup? Work + MTG + TV + Movies + Depression

I'm ok, thanks for asking.

I've got those two jobs still, working 9-9 at least 4 days a week. Haven't really had time for anything but ipod games and a few movies, and my tv shows.

Breaking bad is good as always. True Blood was pretty decent but ended kind of weak, kinda. Also Thudercats is good ut there wasn't an episode the week before and I haven't check this week yet. Clone wars also started, the premiere was decent but I want to see more of Sa-vahge.

Um Movies have been interesting. I've been asking friends for reccomendations which got me watching...

Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind: Good
Gattaca: Good
Choke: Not bad, some funny parts
Mysterious Skin: Kind of wasted my time watching this. Nothing happened, nothing was learned.
Attack the block: Ok..
Contagion: Boring mostly...nothing happened
Red State: Good but short
Vanilla Sky: Good, kind of a mind ****
Bicentennial Man: Neat, good.

Games have been few and far between. I managed to snatch up Siege Hero before it went to 0.99$ and that gave me a few days of fun before I beat all the levels. Spy mouse was another purchase that had been mostly lack luster. The other day I bought Where's my water and it is pretty fun. So far it's a little too simple but I could see it getting tougher. A bunch more games I tested out too, none were really good, hence the free part.

Also, I hate myself. I've been going through such a hard time lately. I wont go into to details but It's made me super depressed and made me realize that I still need to lose a bunch of weight before I'm happy with myself. In a bit I'm going to get my groceries for the month and start a new era of dieting. Wish me luck.

Lastly! I bought a box of the new Magic the Gather set booster packs. I probably shouldn't have but the set looks so cool. And I got the packs for roughly 2.20$ instead of 6$ in stores. Totally going to look into making a Human deck, Werewolf, Vampire, and maybe a zombie deck if they shape up in this set.

Anyway, ttyl

Ipod Games + Movies + Life Update

I've been gone for ages. Not because I was wickly busy, just because I have not played any console games since I moved.

I've seen pretty much every new movie that came out this summer. Captian America, Green Lantern, Transformers 3, Hall Pass, Bad Teacher, Super 8, Planet of the Apes, and a few others that aren't so new. Most of them were good, suprisingly Transformers 3. Planet of the Apes was amazingly good, Green Lantern could have been better, and Captian america was a good origin story.Breaking Bad also came back on the air. Such a good show. If you haven't already watched it, GO! Also been watching True Blood still Scrubs season 3, East Bound & Down season 2, rewatrched Reboot, and got into the best new show ever, Thundercats! Seriously Thundercats is great so far. I love the way they are retelling the story and the animation is fantastic.

Game wise I haven't played anything other than stuff for my ipod. I use to be crazy about Angry birds if you didn't know, I've beat every single level expect for the new spring levels. I've also been playing this newer game, Robotek HD. Where you roll this slot machine type thing to either build robots, hack, or attack. It's kind of like rock paper scissors. You try and take over node all over the map(which is the world). It's free on ipod and android. I have also been all about Podcasts. I went through the 100+ Mega64 podcasts, I listening to Hollywood Babble-On and Smodcast everyweek, and I recently got into the Joe Rogan podcast. I can't stand going somewhere and being left with my own thoughts when I could be hearing other peoples opinions and hearing about worldly stuff.

Also, been on a weight loss kick. Lost probably like 20+ lbs over the past few months. Been slacking off lately. I finished reading the first and second Fablehaven books. They were pretty good and I will probably pickup another book as soon as I finish all of these older ones I bought. Lastly I am going to be doing some Stop Motion Animation. I ordered a Tripod off ebay and I'm waiting for that to come in. I got a bunch of Tron figures so I'm going to do something with them, not sure what yet or how I'll do voices if I need to.

Moving + True Blood + Uncharted 2 + Force Unleashed

I'm moving in a little under a week to the near by city where I already work. So now instead of waking up early every morning to catch a ride to work I will be like 5 minutes away. First time having my own place(rooming with my mom) so it's going to be an experience. Most of my stuff is packed aside from my PS3, Wii, TV, Computer, and my clothes for the rest of the week. So this will be my last blog for a few weeks? because I'm not sure when the cable guy can come and hook it back up.

Anyway I beat Force Unleashed in about 6 hours, it sucked. Very poor sequel read my review for more on that. I also beat Uncharted 2 and reviewed it as well. Great story but some of the gameplay is really broken. Other than those games I haven't started anything yet. I really should play Okami but I also want to play either Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Enslaved, Epic Mickey, or Beyond Good & Evil, Sly 2, etc. So many games.

My uncle convinced me to watch True Blood and I got pretty hooked. Right now I just finished season 2 and I began watching like 2 days ago. Really great story, waiting for them to get past all this twilight wannabe junk. But anyway after season 3 I'm probably going to read the books since they are only like 300 pages and there are 11 I could be reading so much faster than the show comes out. Which brings me to another book series I spotted in Walmart that caught my eye, Fablehaven. This one is suppose to be like a better Harry Potter sort of book and the plot sounds good enough for me to pick one up.

Banjo Kazooie + Portal 2 + ACB + Lara Croft

I have actually been gaming! I beat Portal 2 in the span of 24 hours playing on and off. Great game but honestly it was a little too long. By like act 6 I was more interested in the skeleton story than the puzzles themselves. Lots of the new things were cool though. The gels were really cool and the white one in particular added a new level to things. The cube with the laser beams wasn't so great though...just seemed basic and the tractor beam wasn't great either. Still the story was really interesting and levels 4-5 where you go into the old Aperture Science facility is awesome.

I play about 1/3 of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and it was pretty cool. so much like Gauntlet and very nice graphics. The gameplay is really neat though.

I also beat Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It was good, most of the same. I never even got the climbing glove attachment from Leo so there is something wrong there. The map just has to many icons and no good options to look for specific ones so I couldn't even find him on the map. The recruiting and leveling assassin's is awesome though. I spent so much time just sending them on mission once I got them and that's really where the game picks up. Lots of people don't like the ending either but honestly I wasn't shocked or anything. There will be a sequel and we'll find out then I don't need anything from a 2.5 game. I never did try the multiplayer.

I've also been getting into some old N64 games. Me and my brother played some Golden eye and messily killed each other because the controls are god awful. I whipped him in Killer Instict Gold, Rush 2, Diddy Kong racing, and Lego racers. But I got into Banjo Kazooie the other day. It's so much like Mario but at the same time very unique. But sadly my save file messed up and it's all just too fresh in my mind to replay so soon. Next on the block is probably Uncharted 2 which is sitting in my PS3 waiting to be played.

I've also started to go through and make full lists of all the games I want to play/beat for every console PS2 and down since there are SO MANY older games that I really want to play. So far I've compiled NES and Sega Genesis.

Take Me Out - Atomic Tom(Live on a Subway and they use iphones for all their instruments)
The Pity Scene - Lights

P.S. I played Crystal Chronicles with a friend and it was far less fun carrying around the chalice. I hope they make a new one with wifi and make it simple but fun.

P.P.S I didn't proof read so forgive me if I sound like a goof

E3 Day 1 + Portal 2 + Welcome back

Firstly I beat Portal 2 yesterday. Great game, funny, cool mechanics, but a little too long. If your looking for tons of Portal like content go out and get yourself a copy. I felt it dragged slightly and got to a point where I wanted to see the ending more than getting caught up in the current puzzle at hand. I also want to quickly say I got Dead Nation and Wipeout HD for my welcome back bundle and will probably try out some of the free demos on PS+.

E3! I watch Microsoft which was pretty much what I expected. They have nothing exclusive that I care about except Halo 4 which may be because the last Halo game I played was three. If I had to score them I'd say D+(the plus for Halo). Too many Kinect games that no one give two hoots about.

Sony was much better. I didn't get to sit through every minute of this one but I liked plenty in it. The Vita looks great and the way you can munipulate Nathan to move across ledges is amazing, really sold on playing with or without touch controls. The Move was thankfully not a key point of the presentation and feature a neat little game sort of like Fable. B+.

~Most Look Forward To~

Assassin's Creed RevelationsEzio go back to search for clues Altiar left behind. I love the idea and people have been clamouring for the return of Altiar. Hopefully it end with Ezio dying with a bang.

Tomb RaiderI have never been one for Tomb Raider games but this makes me want to get into the franchise. I will defintly be on the look out for this one.

Kingdoms of Amalur: ReckoningThis one was shown at the EA conference. Looks like a Fable/Gauntlet Fantasy RPG which could be a ton of fun. The mage ****looks like it has sweet combos and the Warrior can use earth magic with their spells. Fingers crossed for Co-op.

Where do you guys find the motivation to play games?

I keep buying them and never play them. Ever since World of Warcraft it's hard for me to give a game 100% of my attention because whenever a loading screen comes up I'm sitting there in silence starring at it load. If I play music I can't hear them when they start talking, which they do tons of in pretty much every game.

Anyway...I went and traded in some old/junky games and DVD's for Metroid Other M, Modnation racers, and Force Unleashed 2. I also got a GBA SP because I have plans to get some friends together and play Crystal Chronicles and Four Swords Adventure. Then after I traded in those games I went down the street with the games that first store wouldn't take to see if this other store would. The guy who was running it was totally rude! I asked if they did trade in's and he mumbled and flipped through what I had and said "These are just the reject games from down the street, take it to them!". Beyond unprofessional, obnoxious, and he has a huge list of things to not do while in the store and at the very top of it is "ABSOLUTELY NO CELL PHONES" which is written on the very front door.

I also got Enslaved, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, and Epic Mickey. None of which I'v really got into because I suck.

Skyward Sword is going to be pimp

Movies on the other hand...I've recently seen Battle for LA, Due date,..and some older movies. I was watching stuff on Netflicks but I cancelled it because the Canadian version has hardly anything to watch. The best movies I seen though was Limitless starring Bradley Cooper. Cannot recommend it more, I watch it one day and then again the day after.

P.S. What game are you guys most looking forward to?

DDR + Fitness + Comics

Wow I've been gone for ages! Oh well it's been a busy time.

So I bought DDR yesterday and just played it like 15 minutes ago for like an hour. That game is soooo hard but really fun, wish there were more "mainstream" songs though. It also has a calorie counter on it too which is amazing! I've lost 40lbs since November and my family just got a home gym so I plan on toning up this spring/summer/forever. Games, games, games. I bought Uncharted 2 finally and played a little before I moved my PS3 into the "workout room" so who knows when I'll beat that(before 3). I also got Bio Shock 2 but I haven't touched it until I beat the first one which I only scratched(Pc gaming FTL). During my lunch breaks I managed to beat Donkey Kong Country 2 for the first time in my life and that game is so hard. Makes the first one look like cake, or pie which ever you prefer. I also played some Advance Wars but after failing the same mission like 4-5 times I gave up. I also gave up on Ninja Gaiden 3 when the last boss has more than one form and I get killed by the timer! Such a load.

I started reading Comic Books last month. I've always been a fan of them and collected some on and off but now I can read them digitally so it's much easier to get a hold of issues. I'm currently following Batgirl, Uncanny X-Force, New Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, Thunderbolts, and I've read a bunch of others. All this makes me want to buy an ipad so I can read them when I'm at work or just where ever.

Tv Shows. I've actually been watching a few new/old shows. Clone Wars has become even better than before the last two arc, not the current one :/, have been fantastic. Young Justice is pretty sweet. It's basically a sidekick version of the Justice League. I also started watching Reboot, Batman Brave & the Bold, Eastbound and Down, and I've been trying to finish the 2006 Fantastic Four series.

Movies. Superman: Doomsday, Superman: Allstar, and Superman: Apocalypse. I didn't really like Superman before these movies because he's always shown as this unstoppable force. Seeing him more human builds his character. Good movies BTW. I also watch Batman: Mask of the Phantasmal which I didn't really enjoy. I don't see the hype behind Batman the animated series, maybe it's nostalgia?

I seen Tron: Legacy the other night and it was so good. The effects, the story, anf I love how Quorra's character wasn't the typical badass, she rocks. Green Hornet was also good but sadly I don't think we'll see a sequel anytime soon. 127 hours was too long. If someone shortened it to like a 40 minutes TV movie it would be much better. Which sucked because I'm still waiting to see James Franco do something good.

29 Videogames + Bacon + Level 11

Another week has gone by already!

I'll start this week with movies. I didn't spend a ton of time after work so I watch a lot less this week.

Eat Pray Love: I watch the first hour of this movie and then left. It was pretty boring.

Bad Santa: Christmas FTW

Home Alone: ^ ^ ^

You Again: Not a horrible movie. Kristen Bell is pretty good and the story was decent. Nothing really stands out as awesome though.

A-Team: I was avoiding watching this movie because I assumed it was going to be some typical action movie garbage but I was wrong. It's like a Comedy/Action movies and all the characters are good and the actors are great. Super good movie.

Lord of War: I've seen this movie a about 6 times and every time it is good. Go see it if you haven't.

My Girlfriend's Boyfriend: Good actors, poor story.

I've also been watching Dexter which is a really good show, The Walking Dead which first season is over as of yesterday, and House which won't be on again until late January! I didn't see house on one week so I wiki'ed it and it's going to be off air for like 2 months even though the season hasn't ended yet. Total BS.

I was commenting on SpaceangelCyn's blog and pretty much rambling on I realized that I might have some sort of shopping addiction. I will buy stuff that looks cool and then never touch it. But like I said on her blog it just might be that I've played world of Warcraft for so long that I have forgotten how to game. So here is a giant list of all the games I own that I haven't beaten.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Phantom Hourglass. Which I hate the controls for.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
SSX Blur

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
Baiten Kaitos
Starfox Assault
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Heavenly Sword
Half Life. Which is part of the Orange Box I bought a while ago.
inFAMOUS
Brutal Legend
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. I got this 3 days afo for 13.00 dollars! :D

Tales of the Abyss
Tales of Legendia
Okami
Metal Gear Solid 2
Dragonball Z Budokai 3
Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves
Beyond Good and Evil
Veiwtiful Joe
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus
Jak and Daxter
Kingdom Hearts

Bioshock, Still

I also found the first Metal Gear Solid at a thrift store for 3 bucks. Original case good condition discs. So damn lucky I tell ya.

Work has been a bit crazy. I work at Toys 'r' Us and on the weekends it's pretty packed. The worst part is that people use the shopping carts and don't bring them back (Which I don't do either XD) so we have to go out and get them. So basically I'm circling the mall grabbing shopping carts and sometimes the chain of carts get so long that I have to leave half of them and come back  And all the jerks come out the drive during the holiday season.

Music is what get's me through the week

Romance is... - Lights

Chapeaumelon - My Generation (The Who Cover)(French)

Voodoo People - Prodigy

I'm such a Nerd

Where to start...

Well firstly I quit World of Warcraft again. This time I didn't delete my toons but I gave my friend 30 000g which is nearly all I had. With this new expansion I should be stoked! But I'm not. So I'll give it some time and maybe a few months in the future I will come back. Part of it is that I've been playing that game for three years of my life and I could have so much more. :( Sad Face.

Movies

I have to wait around after work for my mom to finish her part time job so I have literally hours to wait around. So I've been watching a ton of movies.

Eclipse: Better than the first two, still not great.

Next: Good god. Poor Nicolas cage. He has had a string of really bad movies. He's a great actor and his roles are never well developed. I hope he catches a break.

Christmas with the Kranks: Not the best Christmas movie. I don;t have much else to say about this one

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days: I really liked this movie. Kate Hudson acts totally insane and Matthew Mcconaughey is hot.

Easy A: Good movie. Emma Stone is great. She'll make a great Gwen Stacy too.

Failure to Launch: Good movie. Sarah Jessica park looks sorta weird to me though. Am I alone on this one?

Megamind: Will Ferrell is great!

Sorcerer's Apprentice: More ***** Nick Cage movies. /sigh

The Social Network: The creator of Facebook is a jerk. I still don't like Facebook.

Card Games

Ever since I was in grade 4 I have been playing some sort of play or trading card game. One of the most fun things to do is sit down with some friends and throw down in a game of whatever is most popular at the time(or even a mix).

So lately I've been putting together some new Magic the Gathering decks. My main decks right now are Merfolk, Goblins, Artifacts, Boros Legion, and a really bad Hobbit deck. But I've been trying to work with some other deck because my mains are getting boring. I have a typical Black deck that I made pretty much to spite my brother because he plays a very unoriginal black deck. I also made a Red/Green Beefy deck. I played it a little and with some more card is could be one of my more fun decks. I also made a White/Blue/Green deck that is sooooo poorly made. I bought some card for it when I was into MTG more and then by the time they arrive(From Ebay) we weren't playing as much. So that deck needs major work.

We've also been playing some Yugioh too though. I currently have a Gadget deck, which I love. They are so annoying and I win quite a bit of the games. My other deck is a Spellcaster/Chaos deck which I would consider my main deck although Gadgets are probably better. Today I made a Defensive/Burn deck which is bad and a E Hero deck which also bad but with a little work it could run smoother. I also want to make a Insect deck but they don't have any trick to make them competitive enought to win.

Lastly I have talked my friends into actually trying our hand at the World of Warcraft TCG. A while back we all bought starter decks and have never played a single game. So I'm going to refresh my memory of how to play and then we can maybe have some fun with a new card game. If they wanted to I'd even try the Chaotic TCG or the Zatch Bell one.
