Hello! I made this topic to encourage retro PC gamers to recommend me games which are from the 90's and early 00's, I won't specify certain years.

I've already played Fallout 1 and 2, and heard good news about Planescape: Torment too, so I will check that out. I also played Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Aliens vs Predator 2. Currently I need more recommendations, give me as much as you can.

backloggery is good for keeping a list of your collection. Metacritic is fairly good for getting an average of review rating for games.Minishdriveby

These sites are fair but they don't list games.

And don't mention this site on which I'm writing(Gamespot), because I want to check out others.

Hello!

I need some websites that lists games, as much as possible, and displays information about them.

Would be good if it shows console games too, not just PC.

This site is also good for this purpose, but I need to broaden my horizons.

Hello!

I'm interested in soundtracks because they can be so awesome!

I found the soundtracks of Fallout 1,2 to be interesting. Prince of Persia: Warrior Within had some good moments too, but I really liked the X franchise's soundtrack too ( mainly X²: The Threat).

I need to make a thing clear. By this phrase "at this post try to concentrate on games that are challenging or hard by default." I wanted to say try to concentrate on games that are challenging or hard EVEN ON EASY difficulty, the game being made to make you sweat. The list may be shorter this way, but more interesting to know such games.

This is because I saw posts that said some games are hard on the insane/veteran (and other) hard difficulty levels.

Hello!

I want to know more about this game. It's an online Role-playing Space Sim game as far as I've heard. The only Space Sim games I played are the X games, and the only MMORPG was World of Warcraft.

What does EVE online have that's present in X and World of Warcraft?

Can you write a short summary about the game and what were the updates and how many things have they changed. Also,is the game free to play?

Hello!

The difference between the two would be that a challenging game puts you through obstacles that require you some skills to beat it (not exactly the exact opposite of facerolling a game but close) and you CAN beat it. And for "the hardest" I mean games that are almost impossible to beat/take very much skill/time(or more likely devotion) to beat. Oh,and these are pretty much unrelated to difficulty levels,as most games are challenging and hard on high difficulty levels, at this post try to concentrate on games that are challenging or hard by default.

I'd give examples too:

challenging : Far Cry, Driver: Parallel Lines(shaking off the cops)

hardest : El Matador, Driv3r (some driving missions)

I would like to read more about these games.

I will found it helpful, if you share some more information regarding these games.

Hello! Sorry for reacting a bit late, but I will give a few information about them.

All those games are about trading, economy and a bit of combat.

The story is just a little thing added to the whole image.

I have played the most with the second game so I will tell you about that.

The game has an insanely lot of controls, almost every button means something, like in a simulator(no wonder,I saw this game listed on some places as Space Simulation, but I would rather call it a trading game)."Grinding" up your way is very tough as you start only with a scout ship which can't hold much cargo and can't even fight well,so you can't even do mercenary missions(go there, kill that). You have to rely only on trading at the beginning. If you don't know how the trading is done, check the game manual,it is written well there,it also contains many other useful information.

I hope I could help you, have patience playing with the game if you want to play it well!

Just out of curiosity.

The X games are some space simulator/trading games. Unfortunately the have a bit of high system requirements despite the written requirements(that is of course relevant at the time it has been released, they need more resources than normal).

The games are the following:

X: Beyond the Frontier

X: Tension

X²: The Threat

X³: Reunion

X³: Terran Conflict

X³: Albion Prelude

And X Rebirth is scheduled to release in 2012.
