Cam, I'm surprised you didn't touch upon the "genetic memories" found in nearly every creature on Earth. Or, specifically, instinct. How is it my cat knows how to hunt even though he was never taught this ability as a kitten? Or a sea turtle knows what to do to survive since it is abandoned as an egg? Creatures who are never shown or experience an action somehow still know how to do it. Where does that knowledge come from? Perhaps there is something to storing "memories" in our genes after all.

Uh... GTA V takes place in a fictional US, not Scotland. Just because a name of a fictional place is the same as your town, doesn't mean they are connected. Heck, nearly every state has a Springfield and they are all different. Not to mention all the town names in the US that share a name with a town in Europe.

Now... bring back the ability to play a game without the disk in the tray for those of us who are willing to remain online for verification. I despise having disk-based games installed, but still needing to swap disks to play. I want the disks to I can trade/sell them. All moot, of course, if we can just buy/sell/trade download-based games...

Well done Bethesda and Machine Games! Not every game needs multiplayer. There are still plenty of gamers out there like me who don't want to pay $60 for a 6-8 single player campaign on a game where the developer spent most of the budget working on a multiplayer mode I'll never try.

@Rennik_Repotsir @PixelHunter You assume too much.

No, I haven't traded in a game at GameStop in so long I can't remember. Because GameStop's prices are so horrible, I refuse to get taken by them. I sell or give 90% of my old games to friends and the remainder get traded to Amazon (which while not ideal prices, has better policies and customer service than GameStop.)

I'm not bitching. I'm pointing out a fact. This news article claims GameStop is happy for consumers on MS's reversal of policy. When in fact GameStop is happy its profit margins will remain intact taking advantage of everyone who does still deal with them.

@udubdawgz @PixelHunter Perhaps GameStop's policies have changed lately? I haven't shopped there in years because their policies were so disagreeable with me, I refused to do business with them.

- Selling me an opened box as a "new game" at the full price

- Roughly 60% of the used games I bought from them wound up having to be exchanged due to unreadable or damaged disks.

- Offering me $10-20 for a used game that was still selling for $60 new, then putting it on the shelf for $55.

- Most used games, not more than 2 years old were only a couple dollars less than a new version ($60 new = $55 used, $50 new = $45 used, etc.) At that price, I'd rather buy new and avoid damaged disks and support the developers.

GameStop's view on this matter has nothing to do with benefiting consumers. It has everything to do with benefiting GameStop. Now they can continue to rape consumers by giving them pennies on the dollar for trade-ins and then reselling it for a couple dollars less than a new copy, while reaping a nice fat profit at the expense of everyone. I'm wondering if MS had something going with their DRM plans... and we might have seen a Steam-like service for a console. But MS failed at PR, and didn't give anyone any reason to want to accept their policies.

Nice to see management doing the responsible thing and foregoing bonuses when others in the company are losing jobs, and the company is losing money.

But... why the heck is a company that is laying off people and losing money issuing bonuses to begin with!?
