I wanna see Descent (or something eerily like it). If it had online play, it'd make my year. Freespace is another good idea, but that's a whole boat-load of controls to stick on the wiimote.

How about this.

A game called Miising Persons. It would be a comically dark, satire with open world roaming as a detective/vigilante trying to find a kindnapper/killer who is kindnapping miis. There would be an open world with real time gaming. You would go visit new suspects, crime scenes, and eventually take on organized crime as the miis are being used for organ trafficking.

I think you're onto something there. Throw in Connect24 to deliver new scenarios and crimes and I think you'd have a solid game.

Ghosting occurs when the pixels on a display have a response time that is slower than the video being rendered. This was fairly common with early LCDs. However, most modern LCD TVs do not ghost even on very fast-paced games. Definitely go for an LCD for the 32-36" range.

Descent!

The control would fit quite nicely on the Wii. Plus it was one of the best multiplayer games to come out of the 90s.

I would love to see a remake of Descent come out for the Wii. Actually, any 6DoF* game for any platform would be great. But I think that the Wii would work best with the somewhat complicated control schemes that these games tend to have.

* 6DoF = 6 degrees of freedom

A generation is usually 5 years. However, the lack of HDTV support from Nintendo this generation may push them to release a new console a little earlier. 28% of Americans now own HDTVs, and the number will only grow with cheaper technology slated for release later this year.
