It does depend on the game. But if we are talking about intergrating big stories into them violence and death make it easier. I mean there can be nothing greater put on the line than human life itself.

I was with my girlfriend in the highstreet, taking the micky out of her height as usual(she was 4'6). When she told me to hold her bag, I did so being the gentlemen. Moments later I was withering the on the ground with tears in my eyes after recieveing a brutal punch(or should I say uppercut?) to the balls.
Or it was the time we were out in the town during a storm with gale force winds blowing. And a large wooden framed chalk board for a pub up the road came flying through the air and was about to hit her. So I jumped in the way and tried to push it aside but it still hit me in the shoulder and the wooden frame on it snapped and cut up my shoulder pretty bad.
Not on my PC it doesn't :P
Of course it does and there would be something seriously wrong if it didn't have the best.
I don't want to get into the PC costs 1000's arguement, but whay is the cost of a system that will run it at 60 frames plus with the detail in your screenshots?

Well my PC cost me £1000 2 years ago and it runs Crysis flat out on very high with 1680 by 1050 resolution smooth. Its just GBs RAM, 8800GTX and E6600at 2.6GHZ. A rig like that would cost you much less nowdays.
When I was first taught to write we were all taught to right joined up. But for somereason when it came to secondary school(high school) everyone had switched to typed writing and thats what the teachers expected of us. I was dyslexic and had terrible hand writing to begin with and because there was no one who was willing to actually teach me I just ended up really struggling through school.
Anyway reading this reminds me alot of how I felt about writing in school. Ok so I didn't quite "fear" picking up a pencil but having my handwriting skills(and art skills) constantly mocked by teachers never did anyone any favours and just made me resent school even more.
[QUOTE="Platearmor_6"][QUOTE="lowe0"]I'm curious as to how many of you are actually running it at the settings in your posts and screenshots. I've played both Crysis and Warhead, and whatever game you're showing screenshots of, the game I played looks nowhere near that good. And on 1680x1050 Very High, it stutters and chops like a mother, even on a pair of 8800 GTs.thefsmlol
Well my single 8800GTX runs it smooth on those settings and resolution.
So you never expirience any slow downs on any level? Even when things are exploding?
No nothing considerable. I can cause slow down by piling up explosive barrels and vehicles but in regular gameplay it runs perfectly fine and smooth.

if you are mostly going to play 8-10 years old games get XP or better jet win98
if you are going to play new games get 4gig ram and vista 64. With prices as they are there is no reason to not get 4gb or more ram in a new PC
I just can't belive the "zomg vista uses up a lot of resources, vista has no drivers, vista can't play games" **** is still going on, personaly I blame the mac adds.

Out of curiousity. On Vista 64bit do you ever encounter lose of internet to only 32bit applications. Like 32bit Firefox or XFire and Steam? This is the only problem that still bugs me about Vista but I think I have the problem almost nailed down.
Well I've used to sets of 5.1 headphones. A SpeedLink Medusa and a Razer Barracuda HP-1. The Razer was the best hands down for sound and I found them much better for comfort to. However they were the more expensive of the two and the build quility didn't compare to the Medusa's. The Megaladons look good but I'm worried if they will have the same build quality issues my old Razer headphones did.
However the best advice I can actually give you is not to bother with 5.1/7.1 headphones. I saw a huge improvement going from cheap 2 to 5.1 headphones but I saw an even bigger improvement going from 5.1 to a decent pair od standard 2 speaker headphones. I'm currently using a pair of Astro A40s, maybe not $100 but the best damn headset I've ever used. So I would personally buy a good set of Sennheisers
