1) Starcraft - I have easily put more hours into this game than any other, perhaps even all others combined.

2) Star Control 2 - Perhaps the single most underappreciated game ever. I still play it now and again and it still plays well even 15 or so years after release

3) Shining Force 1 & 2 - These two games began my love affair with strategy rpgs... my favorite genre to this day.

4) Disgaea Series - picked up right where Shining Force left off :)

5) Baldur's Gate 2 - Best. PC. RPG. Ever.

6) KOTOR - Yeah, I don't think I need to explain this one

7) Guardian Heroes (Sega Saturn Baby!!) - I had to include this. The game isn't anything special really, but I had two brothers and we would play for hours and hours and hours.

8) Diablo 2 - Ok, who didn't burn hours of their lives playing diablo at some point??

9) Azure Dreams - If you played it you'd understand!

10) Mike Tyson's Punch Out - Ok, anyone who even mentions Mr. Dream gets punched out! (haha, get it??)

I'm not posting this as flame bait, I'm really not, I'm really just starting to fear that companies don't think gamers of my type are worth the money anymore :( I bought a ps3 two weeks ago for disgaea 3. I'm 80 hours in and still enjoying myself thoroughly, but decided to look around and see what else might be worth getting, now that I did spend the money on the system... There is not a single other game that looks even remotely appealing to me, lol.

The ps2 was, in my opinion, the best console ever made (and I'm 27, old enough to have had an nes and remember playing cheesy flash calibur games for hours and hours and hours). I had more games that I enjoyed for it than any other system, and I hope, eventually, the ps3 will follow suit. But heck, the only game on the horizon that I am really looking forward to is Persona 4 and thats being released for the PS2! lol

Ah well, maybe I just have to be patient, as most of the niche titles I love so much are still coming out for the ps2. :)
