Growing Old, Growing Cold

In contrast to my last entries I now have something to write about! I finished my diploma thesis in the beginning of August and am now working as a computer scientist in a software development company. The place of work is really nice and my salary is high enough to buy any games I want. ;) An even bigger news than finishing my degree is that I got married to my girlfriend (who else?) in late August in Denmark. Maybe I’m really growing old~ But enough off topic talking , back to what this blog really is about: video games. Since I wrote the last entry more than four month ago, I had enough time to play many different games. The last one I played through was Onimusha 4 and I must say, that I hate these games, were you have to use every character shortly before the end, so that you are forced to level the characters you didn’t use until then. The same thing disturbed me when I was playing Rogue Galaxy. Until this point both games were above-average but these parts were just frustrating… Hack//G.U. 3 was one of the games I really looked forward to get my hands on. Though, even I liked the third game I’m happy that the G.U. series ended with this part, before the gameplay gets just to repetitive (even for me). Another case, where I nearly died of boredom, was Persona 3. In the beginning I really liked the game. But after being half through to it, the dating simulation part and the endless dungeon crawling grew really old and I toiled me through the last hours of the game. When I can spare some time I’m playing Guilty Gear X2 #Reloaded right now, to train my skills for the upcoming, unofficial, two-player tournament end of November! :D
